I think that some sort of DPS to heal would be a nice change. I like the idea of the monk, and after reading through the previous comments, what about some sort of system where the Monk's power (similar to rage or RP) was built up by dealing damage. It doesn't need to be overly complicated. Some interesting spell ideas come to mind, like some sort of AoE spell that deals damage to the enemy mobs, but heals the friendly players at the same time, or some spells that convert the damage delt into healing for a nearby friendly player.Also to make itemization a little easier, the monk would get bonus dodge and mitigation from stats like Int and Spirit, and maybe AP from SP or something.The main thing to keep in mind is balance. If the character is able to both and heal and DPS effectively, at the same time, you have one toon pulling the weight of two, therefore, either dps has to be fairly low (several thousand below pure dpsers) or the healing needs to be sort of inconsistent. Both options could be possible depending on talent tree choices I suppose.Those are just some of my ideas. I am, by no means, a game developer :)
