I highly doubt we'll see a Monk class in WoW. There are enough melee classes in the game, both purely physical and magic-enhanced, and there'll be one in Diablo 3 (hopefully) soon.As we know there is a tank deficit in the game. And I personally think we need another ranged class; only one class in the entire game actively uses ranged weapons. Also with the amount of off-spec healing options, I don't think we're so much short on healers, rather it'll just take time befor more people branch out and use them, so no real need for more healing classes. So what does that leave? Some sort of ranged tanking class? Could be fun; definitely better than throwing a caster infront of a boss (Crimson Halls). Maybe they tank by constanly kiting the boss in circles? Or maybe they have a melee tanking tree, a ranged dps tree, and... idk maybe a ranged tank tree? Or melee dps tree? Sure that'd all be difficult to work out, but it has the potential for something new and exciting.Regardless of that whole paragraph I think that if there is going to be another class it will either be a tanking class or a ranged class that uses bows. I mean seriously, only one class??

You don't roll a tank, you ARE a tank. It's not that there's a shortage of tanking classes or fun & different tanking styles, it's a lack of people who want the responsibility and stress of tanking. I don't mean responsibility in some elitist way, I just mean that as a tank if you don't know your class backwards and forwards and put in the time and gold to gear yourself out correctly you're going to wipe your group/raid.Also, at least half of the DK tanks in randoms are just plain BAD at tanking even a year and a half after their introduction. I don't want to deal with more of that on my healer.

Good point. Like they mentioned in a previous article the "barrier of entry" is rather intimidating. That's one of the things that keeping me from tanking with my paladin. Maybe if I had enough friends that also played then I would, so I could get some practice in without all PUG hate/drama.I see what your saying about not enough people wanting to tank, but another tank class MIGHT sway at least a few more poeple to give it a go. Though what you said about DK tanks is very true, so maybe it will just remain a very rare art that a few can do well.
