We weren't taught Spanish at school (it's more of an American thing, and I'm a Brit), but I do recognize the words "pendejo" and "culo", so you get +1.

the dutch translations are perfect.

btw babelfish and google translate are no substitutions for learning a language. they do about a 33% job at translating something.

Divine Spirit gets translated to Holy Ghost? You Europeans certainly like to get biblical.

And on behalf of hunters at large, I resent that the phrase "please turn off aspect" made the list.

@ Lupius: It only becomes Holy Ghost when you do a literal word for word translation, no bible needed just *cough* Babelfish *hack*. In the same manner Turn Undead will translate back to Become Undead.


Aspect of the Pack and tanking & melee in general do not play nice together. You'd be surprised how many of our fellow hunters have NOT learned that lesson after 5 years. Especially when dealing with a tank-on-a-clock or after a run back through part of an instance.

The Dutch translation is nice and all but I've yet to encounter a Dutch person who didn't speak English flawlessly.

Dutch borrows tonnes of words from English - I've done running translations for other players (obviously one of the 10 people in all of NL that doesn't speak English) and I just use the regular spell names. Easier to find on bars that way too.

at straight i couldnt resist. and wel we pretty mutch use the english words anyway

and quite honest the dutch do have a word for healing but rather use healing in game.

and names of the buffs shouldnt be translated because they play on the enlish language pack

we wouldnt translate pull in game. would be rukken or trekken i gues, what also pretty mutch means spanking your monkey.

if there was a dutch localization of the game, the dutch players wouldnt like to have the name of the buffs translated. (dutch often sounds kinda lame , and in movies the voice acting sucks),

and because we suck in voice acting we just subtitle pretty mutch everything learning english from tv since we are like 8 or whatever


Items are voorwerpen. but in game we would still just call them items
