Frozen orbs to be greed only in patch 3.3.3

No, you won't be able to exchange Frozen Orbs for Emblems of Frost. Yeah it just takes one person to press Need after everyone's pressed Greed on the Frozen Orbs and you miss out. But the good news is that in patch 3.3.3 this won't be the case anymore -- the roll for Frozen Orbs will be an automatic Greed roll. Rejoice!
I wonder whether this is now some sort of flag in their database that they could use for other items. Like Books of Glyph Mastery. Nothing is more annoying than someone
Edit: Ninjas are cool. People who steal from their peers are not. Stop calling them ninjas.

Thanks. So. Much.
Best patch change since the one where they made corpses with loot actually lay on top of corpses without loot.

I thought I had just gotten really good at clicking.
Kyrro Mar 12th 2010 1:54PM
I eveyone had learned to click Need, we wouldn't have wasted those 20 minutes it took for some random programmer to make the change.
Thanks guys, you ruined another chance to get the dance studio AGAIN!!!!! :(
lethian Mar 12th 2010 2:43PM
@Kyrro
WOW, someone just proved this change a positive one, maybe you should have learned to tell everyone you were clicking need, which i doubt
Bronwyn Mar 12th 2010 2:55PM
HUZZAH. That's all I have to say- aside from the fact that I HATE HATE HATE people who take things they have no more right to than the rest of the group, it'll be nice to not have to use my "Need on the orbs" macro.
Kyrro Mar 12th 2010 3:21PM
@lethian
Even if I wasn't deadly serious, I believe that this change is of little importance, and really don't deserve a full article.
As far as my habits for need/greed on orbs, I usually wait til last. If everyone greed, I greed too, If someone needs, I need too. And if I win that roll, I try to ask people if they want a reroll and sometimes they do, sometimes not.

Just keep yer hands off my Glyph books.
I wouldn't need some tailor's or jewelcrafter's recipes, I suggest you let me learn to make the Glyphs that you want me to make.
Neirin Mar 12th 2010 4:28PM
That's actually an interesting point, most JC patterns, cooking recipes, etc. that drop in heroics are BoP and only lootable by people of sufficient skill in that profession. There's still BoE patterns, but it does seem a little weird that scribes ONLY have BoE patterns that everyone can roll on.
George Mar 13th 2010 9:50AM
About the JC recipes vs Glyph books: Yes, the patterns can only be looted by JC's. Damaged Necklaces on the other hand (which I equate to the Glyph Books) are routinely taken by anyone but a JC, who has a hard enough time getting the tokens for their recipes as it is. and the glyph books have a much higher drop rate.

Beverly hills ninja was NOT cool
Tamednan Mar 12th 2010 2:35PM
I miss Chris Farley. :(
MightyBurebista Mar 12th 2010 3:39PM
God only knows how this blasphemy got voted up. Beverly Hills Ninja was GOLD! >:(
And at least he didn't wear an orange jumpsuit.
Adam Holisky Mar 12th 2010 9:50PM
No matter who did it (I don't know atm), it was a *joke*. If you want to complain about something, start talking about that promised pony.
Chris S Mar 12th 2010 11:35PM
But those little ninja toys are awesome. I had one of them way back when, albeit a purple one. >.>
Basil Berntsen Mar 13th 2010 8:18AM
Hey Johnnytorrance- I did that myself. It's a time honored blogger tradition- writ something, cross it out, "fix" it, all visibly. Used to be used seriously to indicate the history of an item, but these days, all I typically do with it is make jokes about ninjas.
Texasmanker Mar 12th 2010 1:10PM
I got tired of the ninja jerks real quick when the dungeon finder system first started. I always let the group know early that I will need the orb. It was the only way to ensure fair chances. But it's still good to see this change.
Wraithanne Mar 12th 2010 1:07PM
Thank. The. Goddess.
Karuna Mar 12th 2010 1:08PM
Nice change. Simple but effective for something that would have become a big hassle when those vendors appear.
Brian Mar 12th 2010 1:10PM
This is a very welcome change. Wewt. (Awesome picture, btw)
brian Mar 12th 2010 1:13PM
Yeah, the picture's pretty cool.
...wait, are you a ninja? Or just a doppelganger?
