More and more lately I use the dungeon finder as a pure stress release. I don't sign up to tank: we seem to have hit a decent steady state on Stormstrike where a queue rarely lasts more than 10 minutes for DPS, so it's safe for me to let someone else tank and play around with DPS ideas. It's actually to the point where I'm looking forward to seeing exactly what kind of group I'll get on any particular run. One run was myself as DPS, a warrior tank, two more warrior DPS and a very confused ret paladin who'd accidentally queued as a healer. A brief discussion and we decided to see if he could heal the group with Art of War procs. Turned out he could. Quite frankly, that was the fastest CoT run I've ever had, with two furies, a prot and an arms warrior plus a ret paladin doing our level best to play combine harvester with the undead hordes.
With the new Battleground Finder on its way, I'm wondering if this will be an experience I get to have in PvP as well. Except now I'll be able to get my stress relief on by defending a flag while everyone else fights on the road, I guess. Will you be lured back to the BG's to crush faces, or have you already been there all along?

CoT seems to be the main gathering point of weird groups, it seems. Every time the dungeon finder sends me there, I know I am in for an interesting heroic. A 20k HP warrior tank in PvP blues, hardcore roleplayers or other oddballs - every time the timer seems to focus the group in an awesome way (and we always get the mount, even if I have to Hurricane).
As far as random BGs - I just got my Call To Arms achievement (finally), my i264 offpieces and am ready to test em!

I admit, I've done a bit of roleplay during the initial wait while Arthas is yakking away, but not really hardcore stuff. Mostly I (an orc in the outside world) just walk up to one of the women standing around and say something like, "Hey, baby, wanna go out with me tonight? I'm human!" And then blond boy comes in and kills her and it's sad because I really had a shot there, you know.
As for battlegrounds, I've mostly avoided them as much as possible, but I might give them a chance when the new system comes online, at least long enough to get the mounts. [And "School of Hard Knocks." I can't forget that. It's the only thing left between my backside and that purple drake.]

Since the dungeon finder was added it's been nearly impossible to do PvP on my battlegroup with queues taking 20-30 minutes so I for one cannot wait to start smashing faces and building up my PvP set!

I currently only PVP with my Death Knight (taking my mage into PVP never ends well), but I'm really, really looking forward to the Battleground Finder for the extra honor and to play BGs that I wouldn't normally play. I mean, I discovered the joy of Alterac Valley by accident (meant to click Arathi Basin), so who knows what I've been missing?
Also: bonus honor just for playing? Yes, please. I'd love to get a PVP mount or two before hitting 80 and then build up a good PVP set more easily.
Granted, my DK is level currently 71, so that means I'll be spending a lot of time as a bloody smear on the ground due to being in the 70-79 bracket, but hey... that's how you learn, right? ...right?

I've been re-discovering the joys of PvP recently, and have been having great fun in 2v2 & 5v5 arenas (losing quite a bit, but hey!).
To get better gear I've been joining loads of BGs, finding out what I like and don't like, and working on tacs. There is almost no time to queue on my battlegroup for BGs, but it would be great to see more, better people doing PvP. I think it helps you understand your class capabilities more, and is more of a challenge than PvE - PvE you can predict what bosses are going to do, where you should stands, when you should hit things... PvP is a bit more manic and you need to be on your toes or you'll end up dying every 30 secs, or less sometimes.

Back in the day.... (like when Naxx was not yet on Farm for anyone except the top 1-2 guilds on my server), I got into a HCoS run with:
Pally Tank
2 DKs
1 Fury Warrior
Me - Shammy Healer.
In a light mix of iLevel 200 epics/blues we blew through CoS and downed the mount boss with 5 minutes to spare. To this day, it is still one of the fastest runs I've ever done on CoS.

5 minutes to spare is your fastest? With all the 264 gear going about at the minute, you can get there with 15+ mins to spare if you really go for it and get lucky with the spawn points.

I've been doing BGs since I discovered instancing in general (after the LFD tool was introduced), but with the new BG finder I hope to be doing Alterac Valley and Eye of the Storm for the first time, and AB a lot more - I find on my battlegroups there's no-one interested in much other than Warsong Gulch and hope this will shake things up a bit.
