It's Steven Tyler Kael'Thas!
Did you really think I would trust the future to some blind, half night elf mongrel? DREAM ON!

Actually, that's Varanis Bitterstar.

Somehow I expect Blizzard to cut out the middle-man and start producing CCG themselves, possibly selling it over their online store and integrating it with the game even more. Reputation-increasing cards. Card-only flavour of spells. Stuff like that. Kinda scary, I know.

Isn't that just gold selling by another name? Rep increases and spells are a *lot* different to vanity pets and rare mounts.

One thing I am still thinking about is deck legality. Currently the backs of all cards have the UDE logo on them. If UDe no longer has anything to do with the game they would remove that logo, making the cards have a different back. From any card game I've played this would make you unable to use cards that have the logo in the same deck with cards that don't. Card sleeves would solve this for most people, but some tourney places are pickier than that.

That's exactly what have been my concern.
However, seeing as they appear to release the Wrathgate and Icecrown expansions, they must have a solution of some sort ready.

Unfortunately Realm Championships in Europe have been cancelled, so while NA is enjoying their game we are all turning to magic the gathering ;-)
Anyways, let's hope that Blizz gives Europe some information in this weekend's official statement mentioned by Bornakk.
