WoW Moviewatch: Welcome to the Deadmines
Xcross did some absolutely amazing work here. This video is just fantastic. The song is catchy and clever. It's very well performed, and includes all our favorite characters from the Deadmines. The graphics in the video are amazing. The choreography captures the flavor of this Monty Python-esque performance, spotlighting each performance with grace and aplomb.
My hat's off to Xcross. While I don't believe every video needs fancy graphics, Xcross has shown exactly how practiced machinimators can use their techniques to vastly enhance their films. The music was absolutely amazing. You can easily see why Welcome to the Deadmines was so well received.
As a last note, if some of the lyrics seem a little confusing, you should remember that we're all going to enjoy the Heroic Deadmines in Cataclysm.

Amazing! The choreography, or shot planning or whatever you'd call it here is so *right*. Criticisms? I guess Cleef's voice could be lower, but maybe he speaks low and gruff but sings a bit higher, it could happen! (In comparison, Rhahk'Zor was completely spot-on!) All in all I loved it, and with some lyric tweaking it could definitely be in WoW: The Musical. We need to come up with a plot and song ideas for this so talented people like these guys can get it together.

I haven't been paying much attention to moviewatch for a long time. I don't know why, but most of the past few months the vids haven't held much attention for me.
But this video... I'm still smiling and giggling like an idiot from that video. The voice acting was up to par with what I expect from good vids. The special effects were perfect and show a real knack for the art. The humor was clever without being smug and just the right mix of nostalgia.
Most excellent work!

Same here. I dunno, but this video got my attention for SOME reason.
Although one of my favorite parts was the credits. Heh, "Lyrcis".

I know I did a few typos lol. I ment lyrics ok! xD.. On the wow europe page it actually says "Welcome to the Deamines" instead of "deadmines" in the beginning of the vid. Changed it for the youtube version though. I've got a bad habbit to atleast misspell once every time I make a machinima lol.
