If you're looking for a specific Character Move (from realm A to realm B), you are in most cases better off using Paid Character Transfer, or you could end up waiting for a very long time. They seriously messed up with Auchindoun. I've been playing there the best part of a year now and Blizz put transfers from Ravencrest and several other laggy realms to others, one of which was Auchindoun. Sure enough, and massive surge of players arrived, along with top guilds from several servers. Along with the huge population increase came GameScore, which our server was almost cleared of. I have nothing against GS when it's used properly (which it isn't normally) and I have seen less and less people ask for it, but, from what I understand, the addon can cause massive lag for the server.
TL;DR - WTB Horde transfers off Auchindoun too (without actually buying it).

GS lags the server...first I've heard of that. It might cause lag for *you* in some cases, but for the server?
Have to see some evidence of it.

is it possible that so many people using the addon is requesting too much data from the server? I don't know, but a sudden and major boost in population will definitely cause some huge lag issues

If you have enough people using the server, then there will be lag with or without Gearscore. I've been on servers when special events were held, they were lag-tastic...and this was before Gearscore.

GearScore will not cause a notable performance drop.
If you think about it, your client already has to know what people are wearing to be able to render them. Most likely the server just sends a description of the character with all item id's of what they have on. Your local PC would then read that information, all GearScore is doing is assessing (locally) the models and giving them a score.
There was lagg before, there will always be lagg. Before you start a witch hunt provide provide scientific evidence.

I'm expecting either Alliance moves to Lightning's Blade EU or Horde moves off it sooner or later. Since Ensidia arrived yesterday we've already had an influx of new Horde rolls who enjoy spamming "Ensidia rules! You're going down, Paragon" in trade chat, and I've seen a few members of a new guild called Ensidia Go Home. Sigh.

Tarren Mill had been crashing constantly since LK week I know my friend certainly won't want them back. give them somewhere on their own where they don't disturb the folks who just want to actually be able to play!

It pisses me off every weeks to see how many EU servers get free server xfers while the us server doesn't get any ...We also have low pop servers or servers with a huge gap between A:H pop and nothing is done about it...

That's because when it's US server transfers, the headline doesn't actually say "US servers". It just says free character moves, so it's easy for you to think that there aren't any.

No matter how hard you try, they will never get Argent Dawns numbers down. There's no better alternative out there.

As I said, that was what I understood from what others have said. The reasoning behind it was the amount of information being shared amongst players through the server. Having said that, I'm not entirely sure if it's true or not.
