Around Azeroth: The joy of sloth
As we've all learned from Garfield, cats are prone to laziness. Also, they enjoy tormenting their sexless, despondent owners, although real cats will prefer to eat your iPod ear buds before any lasagnas. Our anonymous submitter has taken being lazy to a new level. She's decided that walking is too tiring, and has commissioned a more energetic cat to carry her from place to place.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

That's a druid in cat form and a hunter pet, I'm guessing ... but however did she get on top of the pet like that? Shouldn't they intersect? I'm guessing a priest's levitate and /lie down.

...and I'll form the head!

The joy of s...loth, riiiight.
It's not a hunter pet, it's a Striped Frostsaber http://www.wowhead.com/?item=8631
There have been other pics of "druids in shapeshift while on a mount" before.
Fletcher Mar 19th 2010 7:11AM
Huh. I didn't know that that was possible.
Karth Mar 19th 2010 10:23AM
That is NOT a Striped Frost Saber mount. Just look at the pictures in the link you posted. The fangs are wrong, the ears are wrong, and most everything is different if you look carefully. It's a completely different model.

It's obviously Shopped. I can see the pixels.

It is either a Frostsaber or Bangalash that a hunter trainer. Proof? http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=7431#.

Step 1: Be travel form before entering a random dungeon
Step 2: Mount up before leaving the dungeon
And there you go, mounted travel form.
pyratus Mar 19th 2010 11:02AM
It's not a mount, it looks nothing like the frost sabers you get to ride, it's a pet.
Frank Mar 19th 2010 11:05AM
O.o

So now that the theory of "Mounted Travel Form" has been debunked thanks to the wowhead link that was provided, here's a better explanation.
As a Hunter, whenever I feign death or lie down, sometimes there's a delay on my screen between me jumping and the change in my character's animation. This leads to it looking like I'm using my back (and maybe buttocks) to jump up, which always amuses me.
It's possible to say the same thing happened here.

Umm.... perhaps we should give those two some privacy? Sure, if they want to do that in the middle of the street.... but what will the kittens look like?
kooda Mar 19th 2010 12:10PM
Levitate.
Euip Mar 19th 2010 12:31PM
Hint: Theres a shadow priest in the background using Levitate =3
hpayne Mar 19th 2010 12:36PM
