And you shouldn't have to. Remember that there is more to a person than their last action. Suicide, the action, is a selfish act. But so is walking *just* a bit faster to beat someone, inconspicuously, the the checkout line.
Whoever it was that you lost, it already seems that you remember them for who they were and not for what their last act was. Just keep that up :)
