While sound advice for some, on my server it is more profitable to sell Lesser Cosmic Essences than Greater. Lessers go for 10-15g each depending on day and time while Greaters go for 20-25g each.

It's all about demand- lessers are used in a very small percentage of recipes, and only people who don't know how to real tooltips will buy them instead of getting a greater and splitting it.
