Around Azeroth: Every picture tells a story
Uncle ... Uncle Leo? Is that you? Oh, Leo! How did this happen? Grandma Betty warned you not to evolve into an ichthyosaur, but you always had to be unique, didn't you? And now you're just a selection of delicious meat cuts. Well, I promise you that I will avenge your death -- especially since those walrus people look like they could be pretty tasty. (Thanks to Zach for the screenshot!)
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

So...hunters can tame ichthyosaur's...when?
Steve Mar 21st 2010 5:32PM
I can imagine it now--
Summon pet...whale appears.
Click the attack button...it just flops around on the ground, seemingly gasping for breath. Pet not reponsive to command (unless you count "stay").
Pet dies. Flies appear.

Walrus people are not tasty, way too fatty.
Unless you make Walrus-person bacon.

Battered Journal

--------------------
Journal Entry #247:
I was startled to see, upon my foray into the wilds of Northrend, that the continued evolution of Rattus norvegicus had taken an unexpected turn into that of the more reptilian genus, or perhaps a strange racial mish-mosh brought about by genetic alteration was at work here? Whatever the cause, it appears as though the superfamily muroidea had regressed into that of the common theropods, possibly of the dromaeosaurid family but most probably that of the uncommon tyrannosaurids, both of which are found within southern Kalimdor with the former common to parts of the wetland and highland regions of Azeroth, yet the strange fascination and absolute aggressive possessiveness toward candles, along with the compulsion to adorn oneself with such atop the cranial lobe has remained intact.
I shall continue to observe this remarkable behavior and strange cross-breed until I can find more concrete answers and deliver my findings to the Explorer's Guild upon my next journey to Ironforge.

Raptor Flesh
Tokkar Mar 21st 2010 5:53PM
Doh...raptor flesh from a DEHTA quest.
Well, why not? A raptor killed and ATE one of their own, so...it's all in keeping with the balance, right?
Right?
You're still not buying it?
