I use SK for my runs, even 10-man, and I haven't yet had a pug who wasn't OK with it once I explained how it worked. We let all newcomers (guildee and pug alike) /roll onto the bottom of the list, meaning everyone who's been coming every week starts out above them. The key thing w/ SK is to let the list persist from week to week and assure pugs that, while they have a lower chance of getting loot THIS week, if they return in subsequent weeks their chance will get higher and higher, in effect rewarding them for staying with us long term. We also set up the KSK so that anyone on standby, be they puggy or guildee, move up the list as if they were in the raid, so even if a pug misses out on our raid because we filled up on guildees, they aren't totally screwed and not only keep their SK rank but will have an even better rank next week.Like I said, I've never had a pug say "I'm not ok with that" before when I explained these rules.

My primary fear would be people not saying "Not Okay", but instead just saying "I don't get it". It took me a while to realize how SK was 'fair', and I can't imagine the average DPS I'll find in Trade to be much better. Have you had a lot of success or problems with explaining SK to people? (PUGging with smart people helps in this regard, obviously.)

No, most people get the concept. I use KonferSuicideKings (KSK) to automate everything and it lets me put the list up in raid chat. Usually once people see the list, it clicks in their heads how the system works. The biggest hurdle we usually have to surmount is puggies remembering that in order to show interest on an item they have to whisper the ML the word "bid" once bids are opened for it.A lot of them /roll when bids open, and I have to remind them to whisper me instead.Of course, if no one bids main spec, the addon automatically goes to offspec rolls and the addon tracks all /rolls (ignoring rolls from classes who can't use the item) and then hadns it to the winner. And if no one rolls offspec, the addon hands it to the designated enchanter (or the ML if the item is BoE).
