It's pretty clear in the article:

Seems that the Cryptozoic website didn't go up until today; there's no blog posts or forum posts dated before today's date.

So they're a startup, with no prior product history, it would seem.

Cryptozoic (or atleast John Nee, specifically) were also the people that came up with the PrintWarcraft service aswell.
