What we often see in drug addiction is that over time the addict's desire to use the drug (ie heroine) increases, while the pleasure they derive from it decreases.
The former psychological term for the increasing desire is "incentive value". So, the incentive value increases, pleasure (or fun, I guess) can simultaneously decrease. It's pretty neat, actually.
