More brain dumps that make leveling better than ever, after the break.
Leveling guides are leveling up
WoW.com's Leveling Guides are finally leveling up, with fresh rewrites of older material and a continuing stream of new updates like this week's Blood Pact: Leveling a warlock 60 to 80. If you don't find what you need right now, stay tuned. We have a lot more of these guides coming soon.
Here's what else is new at WoW.com to help you level up in style:
| Patch 3.3.3 add-on survival guide In a perfect world, patch day would be a day when we all get to sit around and do nothing as perfect new content is added to our already expansive world. The reality of the situation is that we live in a harsh, untamed and annoying world filled with Lua errors and user interface masochism. Here's how to get your add-ons through patch day madness. |
|
| PvP lingo Arena terms can be quite confusing, even to a hardcore raider. Tanking, for instance, means something completely different in an Arena than it does in PvE content. We'll clear up the confusion. |
|
| Advertising your profession Considering how important word-of-mouth can be to growing a network of steady customers, we should take the time to review a few tips for advertising your profession. (Also see our previous WoW Rookie article on doing business in Trade.) |
|
| Crafting for disenchanting Enchanting mats are a strange business. They are in constant massive demand, and can be made in a variety of ways. Every Tuesday, thousands of players get thousands of upgrades that need to be enchanted, and every day, thousands of players buy things like Bolts of Imbued Frostweave, which require enchanting mats to make. |
|
| Introductory guide to fighting shamans Shamans are a very versatile class and any player underestimating them could easily be on the receiving end of a fatal shock spell. |
|
| Introductory guide to fighting rogues In this final part of our exceptionally long introductory guide -- who would've thought rogues could be such a long subject? -- we'll talk a little more about rogue playing styles, the different specs, and ways on how classes can counter them. |
|
| Are materials you farmed "free"? A common fallacy I read sometimes is people arguing that since they farmed part of whatever it is they're selling, it's cheaper for them to make than it is for me to make. This is, quite simply, not true. |
If you're new to level 80
From our Class 101 series:
- Hunters: Marksman 101
- Mages: Frost 101
- Priests: Discipline 101
- Warlocks: Demonology 101
- Paladins: To become an all-star healer
- Resto shaman gearing for the new 80
- Marksman 102: The armor pen years
- Shaman enhancement glyph review
Oh, wait -- we have one more resource for you this week, after all. If you're a new player or just haven't gotten around to this instance, you owe it to yourself to run the Deadmines at the appropriate level at least once before Cataclysm buffs it to become a high-level instance. This place is truly epic.
Here's why.

I got to say, that deadmines video is really amazing. It's like "The Deadmines: the Musical: the Rise of Edwin VanCleef"

Very useful guides, I started playing a week ago. Starting on a new MMORPG is always an incredibly overwhelming experience and it does get confusing at times.
