Our tipline has just exploded with tips about the latest raiding news:
Paragon of Lightning's Blade (EU) has just scored the world first Heroic Lich King (25-man) kill. GuildOx backs up the tips with
a brand new listing for the achievement and you can
see it for yourself on the armory. Each member of the raid is now the proud owner of the title '
the Light of Dawn.' Not the coolest sounding title around, but the level of prestige is through the roof. We would include a screenshot of the kill in this post, but their guild website seems to be down for the count.
Congratulations to all of the players involved. The Lich King is
a harsh fight on its own, and we don't imagine doing it on
heroic is a walk in the park. How did
Defile treat you?

After guilds made good progress in HM week one there were cries of how EASY WOW had become. As the weeks went by, with no HM kill, those people realized how ridiculous they looked.
There is nothing easy about ICC, and this is truly a great achievement.

I don't know all of them, but to start, the Lich King has over 100M hp, which is a mind numbing beginning, but the major mechanical differences are that in phase 1 there are void zones (shadow traps) that fling you off the platform if you stand in them (no brez/ss possible), in phase 2 the val'kyrs drop the person they're carrying at 50% and fly above the LK and spam drain life on random raid members and in phase 3 the entire raid gets sucked into Frostmourne instead of just one person where various things do damage to you and you do damage to them.
I'm sure there are other differences, but those are the big ones.

Congratulations! After all the Ensidia controversy, I'm happy Paragon got the first kill on this. This is as good as it gets as far as skilled raiders go.

I'm really hoping for a graphics update with cataclysm. Invincible looks like it's been photoshopped in when compared to the outdated Orgrimmar building models.
