WRUP: Wishing we were at PAX edition

There are no new games this week that have sucked everyone's attention away from Warcraft -- though BioWare continues to keep some of the team away from their favorite MMO with the constant siren's song of Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age. Thank goodness those guys aren't making an MMO or I'd never see half of the WoW.com staff again. Without anything new, though, most everyone who's not at PAX East this weekend is grinding the usual World of Warcraft routine -- at least in between bouts of being jealous of our PAX-attending cohorts.

For more details on what the team is playing this weekend -- and to let us know what your gaming plans (PAX-related or not) are -- keep reading!
  • Adam Holisky (@adamholisky): WoW and EVE Online.
  • Alex Ziebart (@alexziebart): I did this thing called "going outside" for a large portion of the last week, so this weekend? I'll probably sleep through it. Yes, the whole thing. Friday night until Monday morning. It will be glorious.
  • Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert): Getting back into some fun play after having to take a brief RL-related absence. Heroic ICC-10 on Sunday night with the guildies, and a lot of dungeon-running under unusual circumstances for an upcoming edition of Shifting Perspectives.
  • Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey): Hopefully facing off with the Lich King again, catching up on some TV shows, figuring out how to use the N64 I discovered. Mario! ...if I cannot get the N64 going, falling on the backup 'Play Duck Hunt. Try to shoot the dog.' plan. Also, figuring out how to steal Mike Gray's puppy.
  • Amy Schley (@wowlawbringer): This is the first weekend of spring break. Alas, I will be leveling my criminal procedure, secured transactions, professional responsibility, copyright, patent prosecution, and IP licensing outlines, as they've been badly neglected in favor of leveling my paladin and hunter. Doh.
  • Basil Berntsen (@outdps): I've got a babysitter and a rental car, so I'll be painting the town red with my wife. :) And on Sunday, I'll be ganking Call to Auction listeners and giving one of them 20,000g! See site for details.
  • Chase Christian (@madsushi): We're taking our first venture into heroic ICC, so I am sure there will be a lot of standing in heroic fire this time around.
  • Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb): I think I have finally weaned myself off of Mass Effect 2 until Kasumi's available. Which means I might actually spend some extra time on WoW, when I'm not knee-deep in Easter Preparations.
  • Elizabeth Harper (@faience): I can't escape Mass Effect 2. Someone please send help.
  • Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives): I'm going to PAX, so I'm not sure what I'll be playing.
  • Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen): It's PAX East weekend! I'm hanging there with my soon-to-be-best bud @mikesacco. The kind of games I'm playing are so futuristic and advanced that you won't even get to *hear* about them without a Delorean. If you see the guy in the incredibly pink shirt, say hi! Sacco's giving out loot codes, but only I have the code to the exclusive 310% Mike Sacco mount. He is a very fast mount.
  • Gregg Reece: Feed the baby, try to play WoW, rock the baby, try to see How to Train Your Dragon, get the baby to go to sleep, work on my WarMachine Army, change the baby, try and get an article written for the site.
  • Joe Perez (@Lodurzj): Working on some Dawn of War 2: Rise of Chaos goodness and reading the new book in the Horus Heressy series, A Thousand Sons, getting a little more time in on SC2, if I have time a little Firewalker DLC for ME2. Also going to do some minor PC repairs while preparing for Monday's 25 man raids.
  • Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra): Onto my next piece of druid T10, the raid weekly, and arting like mad. Relishing sleep as I've been pulling OT at my full-time job for the last two weeks.
  • Lisa Poisso (@emused): Frantically leveling the reroll of my most recent reroll, who turned out to be not the most fun pairing for my husband's shammie and who I ditched just past level 40. Got the new pally up to the mid-30s now, so we're almost there (again)!
  • Matt Low (@matticus): Picked up a copy of Command and Conquer 4. I'm a little disappointed by it to be honest. I miss base building and resource gathering. It just feels like an RTS version of Battlefield with Domination style gameplay (like Alterac Valley points ticking down). I never get a chance to tech up to Mammoth tanks because the multiplayer games end way too fast. So much for a Starcraft 2 temporary fix.
  • Mathew McCurley (@gomatgo): Rodney Dangerfield movie party plus WoW and Mass Effect 2 DLC.
  • Matthew Rossi (@matthewwrossi): Tanking 25 man ICC (just the LK to go) and starting 10 man hardmodes.
  • Michael Gray (@writegray): Fetch with Sylvanas.
  • Michael Sacco (@mikesacco): [Editor's note: Mike didn't provide us with any information this week, but we do follow him on Twitter and suspect he's made it safely to PAX East for the weekend.]
  • Rich Maloy (@stoneybaby): Typical weekend for me: QT w the GF on Saturday, WoW when I can, and sleep-camel on Sunday morning. Probably squeeze in a haircut at some point. Sorry to say nothing too exciting.
  • Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel): For work, play, time with The Spawn and always for fun; I will be playing the following: WoW, Lego Universe, World of Cars, Plants v. Zombies, CafeWorld, Country Life, Warstorm, and Mahjongg Titans. There will also be playing in the park, visiting the grandparents and shopping. Housework will be neglected, as usual.
  • Tyler Caraway (@Murmurs): Tweaking Dragon Age: Awakenings to get all of the various ending points just to see what's interesting. Luckily it's a fairly short game and that won't take long. (Especially when I have a rogue and a mage that can one-shot all non-boss mobs. 500 backstabs without Mark of Death say hello!) Then it's off to the world of 10 man raiding.
