I'm just waiting for the option to random the mining nodes, leather and herbs since those trade skill players wouldn't be in the instance to gather those without the group. Socialism is fun.

I am an enchanter. I love the system. In the past I did not just get all the gear that people didn't need, it went to me then at the end of the run I had to fish around in my bags, de it, have people roll and hand it out. I still had the same random chance to win or lose "my" enchanting mats. This just makes my job a lot easier.

Because it would be so much better to exaggerate and cater to the enchanters who would otherwise refuse to assist than allow those same enchanters to help others cross-server, amirite?!I am an enchanter. I used to *always* d/e for people in pre-DF runs, and I would have loved to do so in DF runs, but you cannot trade enchanting mats cross-server. The Disenchant roll option is meant to ALLOW that.Blizzard had a choice between enabling generosity and common player behavior to also apply cross-server, or restricting enchanters from helping their partymates.I think they made the right decision.

This. Srly.I am an enchanter, and I don't like how I'm effectively compelled to do something when others are not. In all honesty, if there were a checkbox to toggle my skill on/off for the use by the run members, I'd most likely have it on "enabled". But still, I feel the current situation is unfair... since the party doesn't get to roll on mining nodes/some boss corpses when they're mined (hey, I also need ore and gems!) or leather from mobs getting skinned, and we all need leg patches made from these, just as we all need mats for enchants...

Can we PLEASE get over this "objection"?Here's the clue as to why this reasoning is ridiculous on its face: if you run an instance without an enchanter, YOU STILL GET THE ITEMS. If you run an instance without an herbalist, you DON'T get the herbs. If the game were set up so that anyone could gather herbs, but all they got was "Unidentified Plant", and it took an herbalist to translate them into Goldclover, Lichbloom, etc., then yes, I would totally stand behind making herbalists, miners, skinners, etc. deal with party rolls on the herbs/ore/skins in the instance. As it is, they're fundamentally different situations.
