@RialleI *do* dailies. I've had enough gold to buy a chopper, the vendor mammoth, the other three passenger mammoth, get the hundred mount achievement, and buy enough primordial saronite without wasting my frost badges on it to get a piece of ilevel 264 crafted gear, as well as many of the rare in-game drop pets such as the Hyacinth Macaw. I don't chain run heroics all day either, far from it. I have a child, I have limited play time, I usually run one instance a night and raid lightly on weekends. I get upset with the fact that the people needing on BOEs are usually liars, they don't use them, they turn around and sell them or funnel them off to an alt or guildie. Why should they need roll on them for those reasons but expect no one else to? By that logic, everyone should need roll the BOEs. In fact, we might start making that part of our guild-majority runs, thanks for the idea. I'm tired of people who feel entitled to BOE gear simply because it drops when everyone has an equal chance to use it somehow. The reverse logic is also true. If it's such an upgrade for you, why wouldn't you go to the auction house and pay the 10-50g for it? That's certainly more expedient than hoping something will drop. There's also a lot of Ulduar and TOC crafted gear that's better than many of the BOEs that drop.Don't forget the mother of all BOE drops, the Battered Hilt, which is worth a lot more than 10-50g. There were several people on my server who ninja'd it and then auctioned it off, under the premise they were going to actually use the weapon. Or, any of the ICC BOE drops. There are several I'd love to get my hands on, like the Ring of Rotting Sinew, but I wouldn't dream of need rolling on that, and most raids wouldn't even give someone the chance because it would already be on master loot and up for roll by the general raid. I've never been in a raid where BOE dropped and need rolling was allowed. I prefer a standard policy when it comes to that stuff, because the people pulling it on low-end items that aren't worth much in heroics are the ones who will try and do it on high-end items in a raid.
