Actually, it DOES matter. I have occasionally actually have run dungeons for...(*gasp*) drops. If I don't win a roll, by the time I offer to buy what dropped its already been de'd. I don't stress over it and I understand it's easier to carry a stack of shards then fill a bag with blues/greens. To be more efficient and not have to waste time de'ing on your own or ah'ing your drops is the new standard.
Randoms have changed the texture of the game. Randoms are run round-robin, the new face of grinding for those who are no longer leveling. Runs for emblems for gear for runs for more emblems for more gear....for more runs
