Breakfast Topic: I threw that away, d'oh

On this past St. Patrick's Day, guild members were doing the quest chain in Hellfire that rewards you Mirren's Drinking Hat. At the time my main was doing this chain, I wasn't the connoisseur of hats that I am now. 10 and counting. Yet another reason for Blizzard to make wardrobes (urge to rant rising.) Several guild members have that hat and it provides much laughter when they pull a random brew from it. I, however, am so sorry I didn't save it. 2 gold for selling it was, at the time, a lot of money for a perpetually broke dwarf and I had a "better" hat for questing.
Yes, I know. A dwarf tossing away a drinking hat! That alone is almost sacrilegious. But sold it I did. Now, when guild members pull some brew out of their hats, I regret my decision and I'd go do the quest chain again in a heartbeat just to get that hat. I'd have to toss something from my inventory (Archmage Vargoth's Staff maybe, or Monster Slayer's Kit, neither of which I use but are awesome in their own right) to carry it around in my bags, but I'd do it to get that hat.
How about you? Is there any quest reward that you sold or otherwise disposed of that you'd do the quest chain to get again?

This article and all the comments have made me so much happier that I tend to be a pack rat. :) That being said I don't think i ever got that rod of transformation and NOW I WANT! :)
I always wondered how those Furbolg turned up in Daly.

Archeus.
So what if it was a two hander, And i a rogue. it was still tear jerking to sell it off to a vendor in darkshire.
But i set off on both my paladin & death knight to acquire it. still used it on my paladin up past 40.

On my first toon ever (Nelf hunter, BIG SURPRISE! lol) while leveling through Fel Wood I got happened to get the disgusting oozeling off the oozes there. I had it for about a day or two , then I deleted it cause I thought it was stupid that it debuffed you and it was taking up a spot in my bags.
Funny enough 2 yrs later on my horde toon, while in guild chat (on vent) one of the officers was talking about how he's been farming for it for months. I told him the noob mistake I made, it was silent on vent for a bit then he flipped out for a couple of seconds lol
I also destroyed my Tabard of the Protector cause it took up bag space =(

I'm on the horde side so never had the chance to throw the hat away - same goes for the rod of transformation...
But back in Vanilla WoW there were very few armor rings (3 I think) all from quests, and being a druid I could make good use of those rings (rules have been changed since).
Unfortunately I got one of the rings before realising their value and vendored it... The other two armor rings were at the end of long quest chains that needed multiple people so weren't easy to come by - 1 was from a town sized battle in East Plaguelands, the other from saving the princess at the end of brd... I only managed to get organised to get 1 of them at the time (the plaguelands one ironically)

" I did sell my Pet Rock on the AH, I wish I could have the little fella back."
Go back to Dire Maul (east I think). If you are level 80 you should be able to solo it now. You may have to run it two or three times, but more likely then not if you kill everyone in there once and loot them all you will get a pet rock in the first run. Takes about 10 min on my pally. My wife takes somewhat longer on her mage (cloth makes it harder - she can do 3x my DPS, but I can recover from pulling 20 ogres at once).
She has run it about 10x more then I have (she is going for the insane title...and I would like it, but I always seem to have other stuff to do).
Good luck.

With my very first toon, I was questing in Elwynn and this "Deed to Such-and-such's Farm" drops from either a Gnoll or a Defias. I right-click it and it tells me to bring it to the concerned person in Westfall. However, the fool I was, I think "Hmm, I'm too low-level to quest in Westfall right now, and it'll just clog up my quest log; I'll leave it for later". So I abandon the quest from my log, believing that I can open the deed later. SURPRISE! The bloody deed disappears from my inventory and it bothers me to this day. I'm still hoping for the possibility that it MIGHT drop for me again (since I never completed it), and until then I just tell myslef "some other adventurer must've found it and delivered it to those farmers".

Still have my drinking hat on almost all my toons. Sadly, my enchanter was in a fix for some material so i had her's ground into a find paste to help boost her skill high enough for Wrath enchantments, my hunter sure as hell still has his. why wouldn't he? All he does is sit in the back and make sure serpent sting is still on and let his pet eat all the damage. That's some boring work, you need some sweet, sweet booze to keep you from wanting to shoot your pet just to see how much happiness that would take away.

I still have Words of the High Chief http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13158 mostly for lore reason, and I never started the quest from Oathstone of Ysera's Dragonflight http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10589 just in case that continuing that questline to the point where it "breaks" could lead to problems should it ever be "fixed" (as in continued)
Nathanyel Apr 1st 2010 3:01AM
Uhm, so yeah, the point is that I throw away nearly nothing that cannot be obtained anymore afterwards, regular quest rewards excluded.
Omicron Apr 1st 2010 5:09AM
I threw away Thunderfury.

No, seriously. I did.
I played my main since WoW launched (in Europe) and raided Molten Core aplenty. I had the quest starter half from Garr for ages upon ages. I must've killed Baron Geddon every week for over a year, and he never parted with his half. Finally, when I was midway through Burning Crusade and raiding the Black Temple, I was extremely desperate for bank space and told myself "well, I will never return to Molten Core anyway" and disposed of Garr's Windseeker Binding.
Then Wrath hit and introduced the Achievement system which gave me a reason to return to Molten Core one single time, for one single Ragnaros kill.
And Baron Geddon dropped his Binding.
The GMs were not willing restore the deleted other half for me.
