Here at Saturn Six Insider we're on a Daily Quest (which we try to do every day, honest) to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
WoW Indeed! This has been the best April Fools day ever...

Hey, isn't this Saturn Six Insider? :(

Sweet, and yes Adam did take your advice in the last column. I am sooooo loving this.
Ron Apr 1st 2010 9:12PM
I hope nothing interesting went down in WoW news today and we missed it... That would suck.
p.s. You guys have really beaten this joke into the ground for the last 12 hours. Just sayin'.
Tokkar Apr 1st 2010 9:14PM
OH NOES!!!
TWELVE WHOLE HOURS???

1) Nothing interesting happened in news today, get over it. It won't kill you to wait for it until tomorrow.
2) P.S. this happens EVERY YEAR, maybe you should just turn off your router until midnight if it really bothers you that much.

Yes, interesting stuff DID happen in the wow newzz today: Blizz launched an E.P.E.E.N meter for the likes of you, a system where only the seriously l33t people will be sent to a different level of awesomeness and don't have to interact with lesser creatures anymore. Your dedication to this game and your attitude of wanting to know everything better then the rest of us will be rewarded with an ever growing penis-shaped meter above your head.
Rejoice.
(oh, and I liked the diversity of the jokes today here. Wouldn't have wanted to miss Muscle March for a million gold, it made my month)

Okay, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, or whether it should be in The Queue, but...
I really want to play this, but I like wearing socks. How will this effect the diodes' performance?
Also, I'm not sure of how the entire structure of the USDF is organized here. Do you have any further information? I would be very interested in seeing some more lore surrounding this faction so as to see just how they degraded to the point that they are now, whether there are any splinter factions in existence, if these splinter factions are playable as a character, if there are any plans within the factions to undermine the authority of the USDF and where I can go buy a chalkboard?

More fail on the April Fools day, especially since for well over half the world April the first has long finished, and for a decent part of the world the "jokes" finish at noon, making this even more fail.
All this is doing is turning wow.com into a place which is hardly worth visiting.
Go ahead and downrate me, you know you want to.
Alchemistmerlin Apr 1st 2010 9:17PM
So leave.
Come back tomorrow.
Certainly your life isn't so pathetic that you need some sort of constant WoW-morphine to make it worth living, right?

I agree. It's actually turning into a site I don't want to visit anymore because it is supposed to be a WoW news site. Mixing in some jokes with the regular days things is all good, but to turn the internets number one WoW news site into a running joke all day long is kinda annoying. I know I will get the inevitable /fishslap over griping but seriously, this is pretty lame now. About as lame as still typing /fishslap after it was funny on mIRC for about 2 weeks in 1998.

I'm kinda getting annoyed too... it's not just wow.com, and this happens every year. The first jokes you see are always hilarious, but then it'll just gradually degrade and get less and less funny as it gets staler and staler. I'll check back in another few hours to see if this is over with.
In fact, I've always been bothered by the fact that we have an 'April Fools Day'. If you're going to trick someone for hilarity's sake, why would you do it on a holiday specially designated for tricking people? They always expect it. The best April Fools jokes happen six months before the holiday even arrives.
I'm sorry I'm such a spoilsport, but I just visited this site after experiencing about (by conservative estimate) 343 trillion attempts to trick me today. My laughter gland has run dry on the subject of April Fools jokes.
Volomon Apr 1st 2010 11:31PM
I have to agree, it's getting out of hand. I have no issues with jokes, but this is a news website. What if all the news channels on air started reported that someone was dead, and then went "April Fools", there are limits and boundaries.
It's twice as pathetic that this crap runs for so long and people are actually entertained by such childish drivel.
Tokkar Apr 1st 2010 11:42PM
"It's twice as pathetic that this crap runs for so long and people are actually entertained by such childish drivel. "
Actually, I find it "twice as pathetic" that there are actually people out there who get so bent out of shape that a site takes a whopping ONE WHOLE DAY out of the entire year to run something fun and silly...just to be fun and silly.
Talk about zero humor, serious addiction problems and no enjoyment of the world outside their doors! Damn!
Oh, and /fishslap

I seriously feel sorry for the people on here crying about the April Fools posts, is change just that bad a thing that you have to whinge and moan in every post about it?
Methuus Apr 2nd 2010 1:12AM
Yeah, I tend to agree with Bobikin that turning the whole internet into a bunch of gags for one day thing is getting a little old now. I just mostly stay off the 'net on April 1 and then on the second find a roundup of archives of the funniest ones.
But don't get me wrong, I think wow.com's efforts today were funny. I liked the running gag aspect of it. And the individual elements were well executed. I lolled.
On the other hand, it wasn't really an april fools prank, in the sense that it was so extreme that there was never a moment that you thought that it might be real. So it was a good joke, but a bad prank. (For a relevant example of a good prank, I fell for the Paranation one for a minute.)
Anaughtybear Apr 2nd 2010 3:12AM
Once again proving that you shouldn't have an opinion that differs from the slavering fan boys who lap up every word that WoW.com writers pour out. Nothing written today was the least bit funny, which I think is the whole idea behind the April Fool's joke. Go ahead and down rate me too. You always do.
I love that the negative responses to down rated posts are always rated up, even though they are more troll-like than the initial one. Wouldn't it be better to just get rid of that system altogether, leaving the fan trolls no way to know who they are supposed to agree with?
Agony Apr 2nd 2010 3:58AM
@Anaughtybear:
"Go ahead and down rate me too. You always do. "
Probably because you're always an asshole.

Talk about beating a horse back to life.
So long, wow-fail.com - I just unsubscribed your feed from my reader.
I'll stick to MMO-champion from now on.
I'd say it's been fun; but I'd be lying.
