The Queue: There's a zombie on your lawn
Notesss from the Editorssss: There are no more editorssss. We ate their brainsss. Welcome back to The Queue, PvZ Insider's daily Q&A column where the PvZ Insider team answers your questions about Plants Vs. Zombies. Lisa Poisso will be your host today.
Get ready to soil your plants! Here at The Queue, we like to kick things off with some cool listening music -- what's hot, what's not, sometimes a blast from the past. Today's alternative mows down all that other stuff. Get off my lawn, Lady Gaga!
Wilted Lover asked ...
Hordes of zombies advancing across my lawn ... It's all too frantic and mind-gobbling for me. I'm wilting under the pressure. Help!
You need to chill out in the Zen Garden, my friend -- and chill you'll be, when you get a load of the cold, hard cash you'll be making. In some games, the stuff you get from farming isn't really free at all. In the Zen Garden, you can make a cool $500 profit from selling your mature marigolds. Your garden even makes money while you're AFK. Spritz your plants with bug spray or turn on some phonograph tunes to keep them happy; they'll produce coins for a day or so. Don't forget to get Stinky the Snail to help you gather the coins. Wake him up with the chocolate (dropped by zombies during the adventure levels). Soiling your plants with chocolate -- farming doesn't get any more laid back than that.
Warrior in a Slump asked ...
I'm confused. I always thought Last Stand was a great ability to pop during during intense encounters, but my friend says he just unlocked it and that after the first time, you can practically go AFK while it runs. Huh?
You must play that other game.
/cough
In the true Last Stand (the 16th mini-game), you receive 5,000 Sun to defend your back yard and pool against a handful of Zombie waves. After each wave, you'll get another 250 Sun to shore up your defenses. Last Stand can pull in massive amounts of money if you'll set up compact defenses on your front lines so that you can use the left side to farm your Marigolds. Your friend is right -- Last Stand is best used when sitting (preferably in a lawn chair with a tall, frosty drink).
Curious About Cholesterol asked ...
Braiinnnssss. Are they rich in cholesterol?
They can be, but they're still an important part of a healthy zombie's diet. In fact, researchers have found that cholesterol is important for the very formation of brain cells, and they hope the findings will help scientists cultivate dopamine-producing cells outside the body. Dopamine? That's the feel-good neurotransmitter that's part of the addiction cycle in our brains. We guess you could say it's part of the mechanism that keeps us going, particularly when it comes to logging in to certain video games. NOM NOM NOM ... Braiinnnssss ...

PvZ is one of the best popcap games.
My fav is the iphone version since a touchscreen is how this game should be played. However, the iphone version lacks the zen garden.
Here is the web flash version. The first taste is always free:

Beware, it's worse than crack and your wrists (RTS) will grow to hate you.
p.s. Have you seen Crazy Dave's bacon?

Well it was orignially going to be called "Lawn of the Dead" Which would have made it a little bit more epic.

If you want a fun Zombie game, I would suggest checking out the "Last Night On Earth" board game from Flying Frog
http://www.flyingfrog.net/lastnightonearth/
Just think of every zombie movie you have seen and put it into a board game.
