As an added note; if your internet is lagging a bit you can see the background for the armory has changed so there's a bubble hiding behind the search bar saying "hey, have you guys seen a bucket around here?" (coming from the undead dude)
If your computer is loading it real quick; try hard refreshing, (apple + r for mac user *runs from pitch forked mob*)

http://www.wowarmory.com/_images/theme/wrath/bg-t.jpg shows a picture of the background if your computer is too fast (like mine)

You can also just right-click the page and select "View Background Image".

I'm very glad it's over. Being bombarded with stupid jokes all over the internet got tiring after the first hour or so.

Every piece of April Fool's crap was worth it for the update my favorite webcomic got yesterday.

Choose "Pika" from the dropdown list. It single handedly made up for years of terrible April fools jokes beside it.

That...that was amazing.

I'm pretty sure it's called April Fool's Day, not Hour. No offense, but by this point in both Blizzard and WoW's lifespan, haven't you come to expect this?
Jason Apr 2nd 2010 10:42AM
Just because we know they will do it, doesn't mean we have to think it is funny.
Mr. Tastix Apr 2nd 2010 10:36AM
@alamos: Yes, but that's the point, we *expect* it now. There's absolutely no surprise or shock value when people treat the day with a sense of paranoia about being pranked, everyone is expecting the unexpected.
I like the creativity in some of these April Fool's jokes (especially Blizzard's and the Cataclysm ones were well-done) but many of them get very old, very fast. Again though, it's due to the expectancy level, everyone EXPECTS to be fooled and pranked on April Fool's day and only the truly naive think otherwise.
My advice? Next year confuse the absolute hell out of everyone by either not having an April Fool's joke at all or by postponing it for X amount of days and having it on a random date. Remember those "pranks" where people say "APRIL FOOLS" in the middle of July, September - or whatever date past/before April 1st - after pranking someone? They work cause you didn't expect them, not because it's ironic [that it isn't actually April].
Also note the day may be called April Fools day, but the holiday is called April Fools. April is at least 30 days long, GIVE EVERYONE HELL!

I had some good laughs yesterday, and some heavy groans too. It was fun, but I'm also glad its over. I'm getting too old for so much chaos I guess. lol I might have to just skip it next year and pick the good stuff out of the recaps the next day.
Kylenne Apr 2nd 2010 12:12PM
Amen to that. Normally I'm all for good fun but I hate that the internet essentially becomes unusable for an entire day. 90% of the "jokes" are stupid and unfunny anyway.
At this point the only way to shock someone on April Fool's is to do something SERIOUS. Valve actually went this route once a while back, and announced some serious news that turned out to be true.
Though I did get a kick out of Bioware's special DLC for Dragon Age, which was gag gifts for your party members, some of which make them hate you instead of raiding affection. The Alistair doll for Morrigan about made me die. (And considering one of the potential endings, it's kind of a Funny Aneurysm Moment.) XD

You missed http://www.wowwiki.com/ which had all of its images turned upside down

Oh good.. I was afraid my computer was going nuts. Nice to know that wasn't the case.

Some of the best April Fools are the small subtle ones, that make you wonder, is it April Fools? Or just me?
Docp Apr 2nd 2010 9:13AM
I love April Fool's Day. The rest of the year pranks are usually only done by university students with the main aim being ridicule, but on April Fool's day everyone takes a go and so you see some really clever, funny and interesting pranks or just general comedy. I think the fact that people know it's April fools day just encourages people to be more inventive (or drop the idea of pranking and just go for comedy, which is fine to).
For those who hate it I just say that you have the other 364 days of the year, you're not taking the 1 day we have.
miscus Apr 2nd 2010 9:15AM
battle.net matchmaking service, was the best one in a long while
Avan Apr 2nd 2010 2:18PM
I found it to be the best joke yesterday. Everything else just sucked, abysmally. It was like the internet said, "screw it," and just put up lame jokes with no effort for the sake of wasting no effort on lame jokes on a stupid day.
Aaron Apr 2nd 2010 9:17AM
TACOhead was absolutely brilliant. So was EVERYTHING they did to the armory.
