Noblegarden 2010 begins today and runs through next Sunday. In 2009, the holiday was
hugely improved and upgraded, removing much of the RNG that traditionally infested
WoW holidays and adding some nifty rewards, achievements and an
unusual non-combat pet that, er, makes more of itself when left to its own devices. I'm not sure you can ask for more than that, unless it's
an uncrowded village center in which to farm eggs.
Are you planning on participating this year, or do your characters already have the meta-achievement
Noble Gardener? If you got your start early this morning or on Oceanic and EU servers, how crowded are the towns?
If you need more information on Noblegarden, please head over to
our Noblegarden 2010 guide.

Kilrogg-EU is pretty crowded, but there are enough eggs for everyone (massively high spawn rate). I got my eggs in a little over an hour, though I was lucky enough to get all the drops from eggs rather than having to buy them.
Now I just need to find a female dwarf of legal age... erm... level...

the tricky thing about that is that they, uh, mature so quickly.
Look at that "little girl" near the ram vendor who sells pet rabbits - she's only 12 or so, and looks like a small adult!

I'd start right now, but I have work, blegh.

I already have the meta (it was the first one I went for), but I checked out the cities anyways, just out of curiosity. They were MUCH less crowded than they were at the beginning of the holiday last year, though eggs were still pretty sparse.

I'm learning to hate it all over again on my alt. At least travel form is practically like cheating when it comes to gathering eggs. Now, if only those eggs would decide to drop something other than chocolate and bunny pets...

As the player of several non-druid gatherers, the word "druid" has practically vanished from my vocabulary. I've come to know them as "cheatydruids".
Of course, this is in semi-good natured jest. After all, one of my gatherers is a rogue herbalist. Droping out of the sky into stealth, sapping the beast or humanoid guarding a plant, picking it, and flying away before they ever come to makes her a "cheatyrogue".

Yeah, I am not feeling the love either. This is probably my least favorite meta of them all. People are saying it is easier this year, but I am not seeing it. I was there at about 4:30am server time, and people were already frantically trying to find eggs. I guess I will wait a couple of days and hope the rush dies down.

My druid kitty got many, many angry looks in Goldshire this morning >.>
It's really quite odd when almost everyone in town is standing perfectly still in their little camp spots waiting for their eggs to spawn. It looks a lot like a sculpture garden!

On Xavius- EU, as mentioned above fairly crowded but still able to get everything for achi in around 2 hours. Got everything I needed including the pat from egg drops except for the egg to hide in Silvermoon.

I woke up early and jumped on at 6am server time to try to get a head start on egg hunting. After an hour and a half I had eaten the 100 chocolates and gotten every item I needed through drops, some items I even got doubles of. The only exception was the egg to hide, which I bought from the vendor.
Newbie McNewb Apr 4th 2010 4:56PM
Don't you need to only eat 25 chocolates?
minttunator Apr 5th 2010 9:11AM
Newbie McNewb, you need 100 - eating 25 opens up the next part of the achievement, kinda like those 'reach level 10 -> 20 -> 30' etc achievements work.

I started when it went live on my server and actually have it completed. It seems like the spawn rates and whatnot are unchanged from last year. I completed the meta last year on my old main, and this time my primo camping spot in Bloodhoof treated me just as well. There was very little whining and crying about egg ninjas, but it's only the first day. >.>

Did it on 3 characters from scratch over 3 hours. just whent to azure watch and farmed about 400 eggs in half an hour, luckily there was enough people to keep the eggs constantly respawning, not enough to have a camp on every one.
of course, the only trouble was finding female trolls orcs and taurens for the bunny achievement.
-One thing of not as i headed to dolonaar for the rabbit achievement i spied a fully geared tier ten fury warrior trying to camp on respawn spot and /yelling that he was "reporting everyone on the server for ninjaing HIS eggs".
he was serious.
if you were this warrior on the Nagrand e.u server this morning your mother and i are dissapoint.

wow. How the heck do you lot keep beating us in WG with people like that on your side. We must REALLY suck. ;)

On Dalvengyr I had a equally nice person... we were both grabbing eggs... prolly both clicked on one at the same time (had happened to me several times already so no biggie in my book but apparently that made me a really bad word in his book). He was a 80 and shortly after that he disappeared.
A lower level came on and whispered me not long after so I'm guessing Blizz got him off the main at least) the whisper was also pretty vulgar going off about me and my guild then that toon disappeared before i could click report spam. Both toons are set on my ignore list now but geeze what maturity level... I'd literally done nothing else to him, course that toon of mine is a druid in travel form but really who wasn't using what they could? Got most of the holliday done on that toon but started bout 2am server time or so and kharanos was too empty to have my pet rabbit have his spring fling so I gave up for the rest of tonight.

Whats more elusive then a Troll Rogue... a Female Dwarf... there is no such thing...
Goarther Apr 4th 2010 11:39AM
I saw one, but then she was gone, maybe it was all those chocolate eggs I ate..........
Reuben Apr 4th 2010 11:49AM
I caught a single female dwarf in Stormwind last year and I asked her to stay where she was so I could tell as many people as I could that there was a female dwarf in Dalaran.
She was a good sport.
psychodude Apr 4th 2010 12:15PM
Female dwarf didn't take too long.... just an hour or 3 :p. But a female orc... they are legendary it seams, not a single one to be found anywhere on my server.
