this is bad, i don't play a shaman (do play a priest but losing the dispel over time... whoopee?) but i see the down side to what blizzard is doingNormalizing every classNow not every class and every class mechanic is going to be the same, but the little quirks and things that made another player go "oh wow you class can DO that?!" is really taking away some shine from classes. Someone mentioned that without dispel a retadin is just a warr with pretty lights. this might not be true exactly, but it was a step that sure made them closer dont you think? Im all for making dispel a more important BIG factor in pvp and pve, but changing what class can dispel what.In addition in another post today blizz talked about normalizing rage. i wont go in to this too much because i dont play any toons that use rage (will be a troll druid soon though!) and so dont fully understand the mechanics. but if the process continues, each healing class will get 1 small heal, 1 big heal, 1 "everyone" heal, 1 OP heal, end of story. at that point the only way to choose is which heal looks prettiest being casted.Of course this is speculation, and maybe this is the end. In addition the changes arent final right? maybe they'll trash the idea and start again. having a pally, priest, lock at 80 and playing them all thoroughly i can say that in the mindset of each of those 3 classes i dont want any class to have a "dispel that stuff" button. wheres the fun? wheres the choice i have to make? wheres the split second recall is that a disease a magic effect a poison? do i click here or here for the win? not, oh this guy has something on him, press 4, next plz?I hope, at the very least, this is the last normalization change we see, diversity is what i love in wow, there is already enough hatred between locks and mages (die your own fire mages...) plz blizz, keep the CHOICE that exists in the game.

" Someone mentioned that without dispel a retadin is just a warr with pretty lights. this might not be true exactly, but it was a step that sure made them closer dont you think?"You know that warriors do have a dispel magic ability?Shield Slam: http://www.wowhead.com/spell=30356 Granted, it's more of a prot thing, but any warrior can use macros to swap in a shield, switch to defensive, and use it.Taking it away from retadins actually DISTINGUISHES them further from warriors, rather than bringing them closer together.

Although, on reflection, one's offensive and one's defensive. Meh.
