It's a bold move, and it is likely to be one of the more glaring examples of Blizzard putting experience and balance ahead of lore, which is, I think, literally their motto. Although, honestly, if they swapped the paladin and shaman dispels, it would make better lore. They have to have their reasons.That said, was cleansing totem REALLY that overpowered? If they're going to be emphasizing dispel as a meaningful choice, I hear that diseases are going to be seldom and powerful, which limits the usefulness of choosing cleansing totem over healing stream.Ret and prot paladins losing their ability to cleanse says to me that non-holy paladins are going to be having very little to no mana issues, such that giving them cleanse duty would be such a good idea that they have to remove it to keep cleanses strategic.
