This needs to an easter egg you find at the bottom of the sea floor in game, kinda like Nessy. It will totally be niche and cool for a few months cause only so many people will really understand it, then wow.com will post about it and it will be over...

GC has a big enough head without every player in game "having" to get a shrimp mount. Myself, I would like to ride around on a seahorse, but find myself thinking that there must be some kind of lag involved in underwater travel. I haven't the slightest clue?

As underwater mounts already exist in game and they said they are adding more for abyssal maw, the underwater zone, then probably you will get your sea pony.
