On the subject of the whole "UI 'In The Zone' changes", I don't think it'll be a vehicle bar or anything. I'm thinking more along the lines of my bars start shaking a little, almost as if they're humming with power. They could implement a very subtle effect to the screen (think of the effect from the trailing flames in Blood Queen but not as...obtrusive) that adds to the whole "I'm super-focused being a badass" vibe.
