Am I the only one who loves the Life Grip mechanic? I play almost entirely PvP, but let me first address the ability for groups/raids: You are the group's healer. The protector. It's always been your duty to decide who lives and who dies (hopefully your usual decision is to let everyone live.) Sometimes, shit's going to hit the fan during a fight - if that weren't the case, if all encounters were a walk in the park, then no one would play PvE anyway. This is when the real fun begins for a healer; routine healing rotations are great and all, but personally when I play PvE it's for the challenge (and fat loot, of course.) People will inevitably mess up and step in the Bad Place or just be getting wailed on so hard that it's making managing the whole group quite a hassle. And LG will fix these situations. Just like a timely PW:S will save a player, so will LG. To get pouty and complain about needing to deal with other people's mistakes is both arrogant and hypocritical. For me, this ability fits perfectly with the healing role that I imagined when I first decided to play Priest: you are the Saviour and the Protecter of the flock, in charge of nothing else BUT fixing people and dealing with their problems - whether that problem is an angry minion of destruction or a slight deficiency in their brain-cell count. As for PvP, it's just awesome, no question. It opens up a ton of strategic ideas and will allow for some great shenanigans that I just can't wait for.
