For me shadow priest changes were very cryptic. (no pun intended)How is the new nuke going to work? how is the orb system going to work? (will they be ravens? XD) will others lose their utility like we have?I've very excited about the healing changes, but I don't know whether to be worried for shadow priests or just wait to see what happens in the beta. If others do not lose their utility we may be in trouble even with equal damage (no hybrid tax).If worse comes to worse I can always go back healing. I just hope it doesn't take 2 years again to fix a mistake from the beta :\

I thought those Raven guys in the oceans of Icecrown were the coolest thing ever!

the text on shadow orbs: "Shadow Orbs: Casting spells grants a chance for Shadow Orbs to be created that fly around you and increase your shadow damage."as i see it, you might have (all numbers made up out of whole cloth and absolutely meaningless) a 5% chance to proc a shadow orb, which provides a buff to shadow damage, say 10%, and it would last for let us imagine 30 seconds. sure, it's called a "shadow orb" but i bet that's just a pretty graphic which swirls around, rather than something mechanical like a soul shard. it wouldn't surprise me if orbs could stack, and you could have a few orbs swirling around you at any given time.

@thebitterfig: If that's the case, as I suspect it is, then at least we'll get a shiny new graphic instead of a buff icon only. It'll be an arguably better visual cue for when we're at "full power."

The orbs better still be visible when we disperse. I want to be a shadowy solar system model!
