Around Azeroth: Holy cow

Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as emailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing; use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Ret bull gives you wings.

Dammit, you beat me to it! :-)
Seriously, although funny as hell, this picture looks too much like a photoshop job. Nevertheless, it's hysterical and is well deserving of its placement here, especially given the current season!

Not a photoshop job. There's a cannon up on Thunderbluff right now for the Darkmoon Faire pointed toward Mulgore.
Tomatketchup Apr 9th 2010 10:28AM
He literally pwnzoar'd you.

This just lessens my respect for wow.com, allowing photoshopped images to grace around Azeroth, and they will not even post some cool actual in-game images that have been submitted.
Eth.david88 Apr 9th 2010 10:53AM
It was NOT a photohop'd image. Darkmoon faire is currently in Mulgore and they place a cannon on top of Thunder Bluff allowing players to be launched all the way to Bloodhoof Village. The same cannon places a buff on you which happens to add the wings to the player.
You can remove the buff to try to land in a ring over the lake next to Bloodhoof.

As the submitter of the screenshot I can promise you photoshop wasn't involved. Frankly, I'm not that good. I repsect your automatic outcry of foul over something that you don't understand though. Kudos for that.

lolol @raventwyst "I respect your automatic outcry of foul over something that you don't understand though. Kudos for that."
haha. Yeah, Old Man Death, well done, sir.

LRN2Explore n00b before trying to call someone out on something that 'photoshopped'. Just because you're being pissy because your screenshots haven't made it in, maybe yours are just not original enough.
While this screenshot is original and real footage, it is kinda scary ;)

Wow! My apologies to wow.com and everyone else.
You are all right, my noob butt should have checked into this more. However, I do not have a horde character, so I wonder if there is something similar for the alliance side. This looks like it would be fun enough to make a horde character just to try out.
I will say though, that those wings, just do not look like something that would be attached.
@raventwyst, you have my sincere apology. Btw, love the response, it was definitely appropriate. :-)
@OldManDeath - Just leave well enough alone in the future. noob! ;-)
Ok, time to "LRN2Explore".

Chin chin, OldManDeath, my good man. We're all jumpy before our coffee.
Catacomb Kid Apr 10th 2010 8:35PM
Props for the apology, good community we seem to have here. And as Bellygrub pointed out, yours isn't an isolated incident, we're all a little numb in the skull from time to time; it's permitted ;)

...I was right outside Red Cloud Mesa when the drugs began to kick in.
We can't stop here, this is Winged Cow country.
Urgata Apr 9th 2010 4:32PM
The cannon follows the faire everywhere, although I've only used it in Thunder Bluff, which is just an awesome location for it.

I've never managed to hit the target, but died a bunch of times trying. And this month it's been handy as an express route to egg hunting in Bloodhoof Village.
Try it out next month when it's in Shattrath or Elwynn Forest (not sure of rotation).
