I agree with your assessment, although I don't think Ammo deserves a FAIL entirely due to missed opportunity. A "Meh" at the least.

Well, here's my thing on the ammo. We already knew that consumable ammo was going away. That part wasn't news, it had been confirmed for Cataclysm before. So that is our starting point, our baseline. That's already on the table. So the news now is how they will implement it. And I think that it's the dullest possible implementation of removing consumable ammo.

The real question is, will I still carry a quiver on my back when shooting my bow?my rogue and warrior alt don't have one because they don't have a quiver, just a stack of arrows...I do want to keep my quiver!

I think it's easily solved with some Trinkets. Maybe one that gives you ranged Haste, and another gives you ranged +crit, etc. Some could have nice on-use abilities, like an instant shot on long cooldown, or a short Sunder Armor effect on the target.

What I think would be REALLY epic is if they, like rogues' and warriors' Thrown, we get ammo which is unlimited dropped from bosses or bought with emblems, that would be an interesting way to improve our DPS and it would show where the shots are coming from, rather than just "Appearing" in your hand when you fire your weaponJust my thoughts...

Well, when it comes to ammo, i was hoping we would see specialized ammo. such as ammo with chance on hit abilities. If they do away with consumable ammo perhaps they will replace it with fixed ammo. such as shamans are able to have a totem that has an ability and acts as all of their totems.I wish Cataclysm would offer multi-classing in the same armor profficentcies instead of giving new abilites. Because i want to play a hunter with totems! lol. But it would work well for other classes. Mage/Priest/Warlock, Rouge/Druid, DK/Pally/Warrior. now that would be awesome!
