Recruit-a-Friend Rocket Mount delayed

Let's take this opportunity not to fall into the typical internet crying extravaganza that happens when something is delayed -- Blizzard did us all a favor by announcing a release date for something. Obviously they have a good reason to delay its publication, and we should be happy they're being honest about this.
The full blue statement is as follows:
NethaeraWhile we had originally announced the new Recruit-A-Friend X-53 Touring Rocket reward would be coming in just a few short days, it turns out there are still a few bolts to tighten, some loose wires to tuck inconspicuously under the upholstery, and a handful of parts leftover that we're going to ponder and then assume we can safely throw away. As a result, we'll be releasing this beauty a bit later than we'd first anticipated. This will also give anyone interested in the current Zhevra mount reward some extra time to claim one. While we don't have an exact release date nailed down yet, we'll make an announcement once the new mount becomes available.

So let me get this strati....if i buy a 2nd account now i get the zhevra mount and then say this rocket thing comes out next week (just for argument) i also get that too? Or do I have to do a "new" recruit a friend to get the rocket and zhevra mounts?

u would need a second RAF acc for the second mount.

Con yourself... the night they announced the new mount for RAF I went to walmart and picked up a copy of vanilla and a 60 day card. They are waiting for the official change and I will have my touring rocket immediately!
though, I DID just spend $50 for a mount... well, not actually, you get 30 days free, so I spent $35, not bad considering the pet store pets are $10 ($25 if you get the plushie pets) so $35 for a mount isn't too bad right???
I shall justify this to my budget dag nabbit~!

To put things straight: your brother cab be invited now, and after he pays for 2 months (pays, not plays, so the gamecard works instantly, you will be able to claim your Zhevra. However, if you don't claim it until the Rockets release, then you will be able to claim the rocket INSTEAD of the zhevra.

My friend let his wow account lapse for about a year. If I get him to start playing again, will that count towards the recruit a friend?

Which only works for Vanilla accounts AFAIK, so if he's 'upgraded' to BC, it won't work

Hmm.
I have a pending Claim on a Zhevra mount. Was sort of waiting to assign it. Will I lose that if I don't claim it soon, I wonder?

If you don't claim the Zhevra before the Rocket comes out it will become the Rocket.
Lets do this.
You have an unclaimed mount on your account.
Currently the reward is a Zhevra. If you claim it now, you get the Zhevra. You can not turn it in later for the Rocket.
If you wait till the Rocket is the reward and claim the mount, you will get the Rocket. There is no way to get the Zhevra. It does not matter that the mount was an active gift to you. It only matters when you claim the reward.
If you claimed the Zhevra in the past and want to trade up, too bad you can't. You either have to recruit someone else, or use a RAF on yourself and pay the two months.
So again, if you have an active reward on your account (or get one soon) and want the Rocket, DO NOT CLAIM THE REWARD YET. Blizz will not help you in any way, shape, or form (mounts count toward achievements).
However, if you want a Zhevra, you should get one soon. Even delayed with Blizz may only mean a week or two.

The Recruit-a-Friend service is not available in my country, and they announced this rocket :<

As an owner of the zhevra mount already, this whole this is very frustrating.
