I feel that blizzard has a great opportunity to play off the Gilnean/Lordaron history into a heated rivalry. I would love to see the Forsaken/Worgen confrontation escalate into an all out war where both the forsaken and worgen are willing to put their allies and themselves in harms way just for a chance to kill some of their new hated enemies.
(also a werewolf/undead war just has awesome written all over it)

"confrontation escalate into an all out war"
You mean like where Forsaken ships are attacking Gilneas? I have a prediction I'd like to make . . .

I hope the latter part of your predictions does not come to pass. I really want to play at least two worgens (another hunter and a druid) but I won't play a race that back-stabs it's allies. I'm fine with them laying a world of hurt on the Forsaken invaders though. ;-p

I will agree undead vs werewolves does sound pretty epic.
Also lore-wise there is a lot of background for a rivalry between them, the Forsaken are largely made up of the people of Lordaeron and if it wasn't for Gilneas' "lets build a big wall"-mindset Lordaeron might not have fallen to the Scourge (or at least the Forsaken might see it that way). And Lordearon and Gilneas were never on good terms.
As far as backstabbing goes Forsaken are old hands at it, the people of Gilneas even more so, remember they never supported the Alliance to begin with and even abandoned it, they only reason for joining is to A- find a cure, B- the forsaken are attacking. Neither reason I believe will inspire great loyalty for a bunch of xenophobic wolfmen.

Yes and no. It will really hinge on what's been going on behind the wall all these years. I'm willing to bet that there are a LOT of Gilneans that are a tad bitter about being cut off for so long. We shall see. :)
Oh and yes, I have no dobts about the Forsaken's ability to back-stab. If it becomes a prevalent aspect of the Worgen then I'll be unhappy but most wont.

As long as this undead vs werewolves war doesnt descend into some sort of hideous twilight-reference-fest, then it should be great...
