The Queue: Decisions, decisions

Readers, I'm having trouble making a very tough decision today. I'm in the mood for two very specific things but can't make up my mind between them. I definitely can't have both. So before you read the rest of The Queue and pick apart its World of Warcrafty deliciousness, please, help me choose what I'm eating for dinner today.

Boz asked...
"Any word on whether School of Hard Knocks will be removed from the meta-holiday achievement, or if it will hammer Battlegrounds for another week this year?"
As far as I'm aware, Blizzard hasn't said anything about removing School of Hard Knocks. You should probably assume you'll still need to do it so you don't get your hopes up. Then if Blizzard does remove School of Hard Knocks from the meta, you can be happy about it rather than be disappointed that they didn't!
Chris asked...
"Hello, as you know talent trees will be changed a lot come Cataclysm. I was wondering if existing characters will get all of their points back to redistribute as they want, or will they just be altered to closest thing from what you had it?"
Whenever Blizzard makes substantial changes to talent trees, they do a talent point refund. It has happened for all classes for both expansions so far, and has happened for individual classes when a content patch changes how they work dramatically. Cataclysm is building up to be the most substantial reboot of talent trees we've seen yet, so we'll almost certainly see a talent point reset.
Artitian asked...
"What are some popular sites for your guild's progression rank? I used to use Wowjutsu but it looks like it hasn't been upgraded since Malygos was relevant."
Before I answer the question, I just want to say that there are no guild progress sites that are 100% accurate. They can come close, but they all track things a little differently. Wrath of the Lich King muddled that sort of thing up a little bit, considering we have 10-man and 25-man versions of each instance and now heroic modes in each. Some tracking sites count 10-man 'strict' runs, where the 10-man achievements only count if you're only wearing 10-man gear. Some don't. Most of this might not be important to you at all, but it's something to keep in mind when looking for your favored ranking site.
With all of that said, GuildOx and WoWProgress are the big two right now.
RobertHMayfire asked...
"I'm trying and failing to get my girlfriend to play WoW and stopped so she wouldn't shut herself away from it. She is a big reader and I was wondering what WoW books would be good for someone who has no knowledge of Warcraft lore. If I can't get her to play the game, maybe I can get her interested in its lore."
It would be easier to give recommendations if you told us what kind of books she reads. Each of the writers that have done Warcraft novels each have their own style. Without any additional information though, I say the strongest recommendations will always been Chris Metzen's Of Blood and Honor or Christie Golden's Rise of the Horde.

KFC FTW!

Depending on where you live, there may be a mash-up store that has both, as they're both YUM brand stores.
Just sayin', you could have BOTH

I have a KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurant nearby where I live.
Never having to chose between delicious tacos and delicious fried chicken?
I must have died and gone to heaven. Taco and Fried Chicken Heaven.
Tom Apr 12th 2010 11:43AM
All of the combo restaurants I've been to have been horrible compared to solo Taco Bells and KFC.
Maybe I'm just unlucky.

Screw both and go Jimmy John's! I will be lunching on the #9 with hot peppers today!
That is all.

KFC and get the new Double Down Sandwich, which is basically a heart attack meal.
It's basically two melted layers of cheese, two stacks of bacon, special sauce squeezed between two thick KFC-style chicken breasts, no buns.
It looks about like this

I vote KFC but I can't stomach either of them...
I have gotten old and grumpy (26 XD) and fast food just does not agree with me anymore.
But having had both I know I am not missing out on anything special.

There's a KFC by me that has a Taco Bell AND a Pizza Hut inside it. If he goes to a similar one he might be having a couple of personal pan pizzas, or a Double Down Chalupa Pepperoni Personal Pan Pizza
Debrazil Apr 12th 2010 12:30PM
We refer to those as Kentucky Fried Pizza Bell.

Some of the ones around here have Long John Silver's as well.
It's rather grotesque.

My name is Alex, and I just ate KFC so I should know.
Speedmonkay Apr 12th 2010 1:37PM
KFC all the way !
Totally gotta try their new "sandwiches". 2 chicken breasts (either grilled or fried) with cheese and bacon in between them. No bun.
Task Apr 12th 2010 2:07PM
@Alex Ziebart
If it were Tuesday and you lived in Canada, you could get the Toonie Special: a chicken thigh and breast & individual fries for 2 dollars.
I live in Canada and yes you can blame Canada for having 2 dollars as a dollar coin.
Otherwise go with the ideas mentioned above.

This reminds me of that antacid commercial: "Do you want this to hurt now or later?"
Benjamin Apr 12th 2010 2:23PM
You don't live near an In'N'Out Burger? The best answer to fast food is always a double-double.
Banndit Apr 12th 2010 2:24PM
"Alex... this is your toilet speaking. Please go with KFC. Thank You."
Vaeku Apr 12th 2010 2:28PM
Like others have said, try the Double Down sandwich (if it's in your area, I know it's on a test run right now in select areas). It's two chicken breasts, with bacon and cheese in between. It's basically a sandwich without the bun.
Even though it's really bad for you, it's soooo good.
