Thanks for this, I was thinking of switching my neglected DK alt from her Blood DPS spec in light of the recent announcements. What would be the sweet spot in terms of speed for a DK 1 hander? My only other melee-ing toon is an enhance shammy so I tend not to pay 1H sword stats any attention, unless they're caster loot (main's a mage XD).

You're looking for highest per-strike damage you can get, which means the slower, the better. In practical terms, you'll probably end up with 2.6 speed weapons, since that seems to be the slowest Blizzard likes to make drops these days.

I have played with both a slow (read: 2.6) and a fast (read: 1.5) weapon. Personally, I found that I got more proc's of Killing Machine when I use the faster weapon vs. the slower one. My damage and strikes were more for each attack, but with less KM proc's, my overall damage and dps lagged for my 3min tests.I know that blizzard says that the proc rate should be equal, but from my own experience, they are not. So, I stick to my faster weapon!

The axe from the first boss of H FoS is also good (nice Arp on it) especially when you already have a lot of hit. Managed to score it 2 days in a row and even compared to unholy with a 2h 251 wep I'm doing around 1k more dps on tank n spank fights. I keep it as my OS and use unholy for mobility fights.AlsoAMGITSSFUNLULZ
