Paladin class preview schedule change

The patient Paladins that have been awaiting the Paladin class previews have some very good news on the EU forums. The Paladin class preview that was previously scheduled for Friday, April 16th has been bumped forward to Wednesday, April 14th. For those of us in the US, that could very well be today. The blue post from the EU forums:
We are thankful for all the paladins and their patience in having to wait just a bit longer than others to get their Cataclysm class preview. While we had initially announced that we were planning to post the Paladin preview on Friday, April 16, we can now reveal that it will instead be posted on Wednesday, April 14!
Will Paladins see Radiance Aura as a full-fledged ability, or does Blizzard have something else up their sleeves for the Light-swingers? We'll be posting the Paladin class information once it's live -- a little sooner than expected. In the meantime, check out the other class previews, changes, and analysis in WoW.com's Guide to Cataclysm.

Paladins will still bitch.

What like every other class has?
Why should paladins be different? After all they have ALREADY been told (effectively) that at least prot is getting nurfed (the AOE threat issue), holy is lightly to (due to unenduing mana issue), and ret (faceroll issue) is unlightly not to be. A LOT of paladins are not really looking forward to this - and from the GC comments (assuming you actually have been following them) - with good reason. So how about not trying to perpetuate a stereotype - and maybe even being optimistic for a change?

Lightly (adj) - with little weight or force; with indifference or carelessness.
Likely (adj) - having a high probability of occurring or being true; very probable.

So thats why all those paladins were jumping on walls..
There will be something huge thats for sure. Something they need time and effort to explain proper so there will be no flame wars. It really looks like this. And Im sure many people agree they need to change lot of things to keep paladins intresting. Leveling as dps is already tedious at low level (maybe low level crusader strike?) so im sure they change that cos they did with shamans. Healers need new spells. No comments on tanks tho..

we will see the return of Seal of the Martyr, since blizzard gave abilities to priests warriors and hunters that were meant for WotLK (we had Seal of the Martyr prior 3.2 and it was removed) i hope they work something out with if cause it was the best dps seal for us, a mid heal between FoL and FL, blessing of wisdom will be a goner and maybe an AoE heal

They probably will put in some low-level strike (among other things). Stuff dies fast at low levels, but you just have very little control over it and they seem to want to get rid of that type of thing. It's just funny they were so dead set against giving pallies anything beyond auto-attack/judge/reseal every several seconds for such a long time.

We had Seal of the Martyr for the entirety of TBC expansion, it just wasn't available to Alliance and was called Seal of Blood. They had 2+ years to see how the mechanic work and to decide it sucked big time. It's not coming back.

The only thing I could possibly think of that would make them take that long to wait is getting rid of bubble. And if that happens, I'm sitting back with popcorn.
Alanid Apr 13th 2010 10:49AM
Seal of the Martyr used to be Seal of Blood and Horde only for the whole of TBC. It isn't making a come back. However I do agree that they will have to explain what they do carefully or many people will just "ZOMG /RAGEQUIT!" which honestly isn't a bad thing since they were probably idiots to begin with.

About time!!!!!! Crossing fingers for a Non-nerf, cool spells and flying mounts.
pancakes Apr 13th 2010 7:27AM
If you guys get flying mounts, you know there will be rioting warlocks on the streets of Irvine, right?
Zalvi24 Apr 13th 2010 7:33AM
that wasnt the case when they gave class flying mount to DK cause %99 of locks rolled a DK
nclay Apr 13th 2010 9:34AM
Whats probably taking them so long is deciding on what mount the tauren get and how in the hell they are going to put up with the entire horde's blood elf population bitching bout their now sucky horses. Not to mention the draenei and the dwarves heh.
Sinfulle Apr 13th 2010 10:44AM
@nclay
Tauren Paladin Mount : Sunstrider (oh the irony) - a glowy bird mount that is a cross between the magic rooster and hawkstrider (this is a cock and bull story)
Balmazer Apr 13th 2010 5:40AM
GC: 'We think that the paladin auras aren't very fun or useful, so instead we'll be giving paladins another cooldown'
This is clearly going to happen right?!

One tiny little question that's been bugging me with those recent class previews (and the first time I'm "F5-ing" WoW.com): what timezone is Blizzard US in? Pacific?
But.. weeeeeeeee. That's tomorrow (or late-ish tomorrow).
Task Apr 13th 2010 10:47AM
Yes they are in the Pacific time zone.
Retik Apr 13th 2010 5:46AM
I got all excited thinking they had actually released them, not just brought them forward :(
Sylvenna Apr 13th 2010 5:52AM
First! Weeee! I can't wait to see what yummy goodness will be coming in the change for my healadin! Make the waiting stop! Make the waiting stoooop!
