Paladin class preview schedule change

The patient Paladins that have been awaiting the Paladin class previews have some very good news on the EU forums. The Paladin class preview that was previously scheduled for Friday, April 16th has been bumped forward to Wednesday, April 14th. For those of us in the US, that could very well be today. The blue post from the EU forums:
WryxianWe are thankful for all the paladins and their patience in having to wait just a bit longer than others to get their Cataclysm class preview. While we had initially announced that we were planning to post the Paladin preview on Friday, April 16, we can now reveal that it will instead be posted on Wednesday, April 14!
Will Paladins see Radiance Aura as a full-fledged ability, or does Blizzard have something else up their sleeves for the Light-swingers? We'll be posting the Paladin class information once it's live -- a little sooner than expected. In the meantime, check out the other class previews, changes, and analysis in WoW.com's Guide to Cataclysm.

sankto Apr 13th 2010 6:24AM
I still don't understand why every other classes have been already shown, but they wait for paladins?
Killik Apr 13th 2010 7:28AM
... and that you read pretty slowly?
Killik Apr 13th 2010 7:29AM
brilliant - comments system fail. I do apologise :)
Galilyse Apr 13th 2010 6:26AM
Woo I'm the first :) LOL I've always wanted to do that xD
Anyhoo, I'm pretty stoked about this. My main is a Priest, but I have a lvl 80 Holy Paladin alt and I'm looking forward to the changes. Fingers crossed it's nothing too severe :)
Eli Apr 13th 2010 6:41AM
Congratulations to you on your fail as well.
Galilyse Apr 13th 2010 6:51AM
When I posted that comment, there was no other comments. So I'm supposed to see that I'm not first, how?
Al Apr 13th 2010 6:55AM
You could just not say it.
Britty Apr 13th 2010 7:15AM
The fact you posted 30 minutes after the original first comment was not proof enough you didn't refresh?
Dualas Apr 13th 2010 6:28AM
Hmm, wonder what happened that made them bump it ahead?
Now, give healing aura...
Luminantis Apr 13th 2010 6:28AM
I'm so excited! I love waking up to potentially good news. My fingers are definitely crossed.

This is good news. Good in that it will help to stop the speculation and rumors that are running unchecked through the WoW community, like an unsupervised child through a department store, crying, screaming, and smacking anyone who tries to reason with them.
I almost made a paladin my main. In Warcraft 2 paladin was my favorite Alliance unit, not because they were overpowered, but because they were loyal, true, just, strong, and had a pony. In the WoW community and game, Paladins have struggled in the past to even find a place in the game world.
When I made a Paladin character as my first chracater upon starting WoW, I received the /laugh emote from others. With recent changes I was able to level using retribution, again often being laughed at for being a LOLretadin. Then I was going to try tanking only to see in guild chat "Everyone these days is rolling a Paladin, we have too many Paladins!" (leave guild) I just didn't see what the problem was. A part of me keeps wishing these Cataclysm changes will heal the wounds and restore my faith in the class and the community. *Prays*

I get the same feedback playing a Holy Paladin. I'm one of two in the guild and the rest of the healers in the guild are always trying to tear me down. "Oh...pallies are easy and OP...of course it's fun to play a paladin as your healer" and "psh, of course you topped the meters...you're a paladin...you're OP". These comments are coming from the resto Druids and holy Priests (why the hatred? I'm not entirely sure...). At the end of the day, shouldn't you play a class that you find fun? I mean, what's the point in paying $15 a month otherwise? :/

Paging RetPallyJill.

If a pally is topping the healing meters It's quite likely you have some terrible healers.
Galilyse Apr 13th 2010 6:48AM
I guess that's why they're bitter. I'm just tired of the OP comments, as healers we're no more OP than what a resto Shaman is. But you never hear anyone bitching on about those guys...

about the only time nowadays that my holy paladin tops the healing meters are on fights like instructor rav: beaconing one understudy and flat out spamming HL the whole fight on the other (got around 8K hps lol) Other than rare cases where both tanks are taking extreme damage its fairly even on hte meters
Res Apr 13th 2010 8:12AM
I just hope for some interesting new holy spells. I still don't know what's supposed to be fun about having 2 heals to cast for hours on end. Also, please some new spell effects. Both heals look identical!
willowblue Apr 13th 2010 9:53AM
If you are beating resto druids on the meters on fights like Blood Queen Lanathel and Sindragosa as a holy pally (esp tank healing). . . damn those are some pretty fail Trees. That or your tanks are squishier than Charmin.
