The patient Paladins that have been awaiting the Paladin class previews have some very good news on the EU forums. The Paladin class preview that was previously scheduled for Friday, April 16th has been bumped forward to Wednesday, April 14th. For those of us in the US, that could very well be today. The blue post from the EU forums:
WryxianWe are thankful for all the paladins and their patience in having to wait just a bit longer than others to get their Cataclysm class preview. While we had initially announced that we were planning to post the Paladin preview on Friday, April 16, we can now reveal that it will instead be posted on Wednesday, April 14!
Will Paladins see Radiance Aura as a full-fledged ability, or does Blizzard have something else up their sleeves for the Light-swingers? We'll be posting the Paladin class information once it's live -- a little sooner than expected. For ret paladins, I want to see us move away from being the AoE gods that we are now, and back towards single target dps. We currently have way too much AoE, which inflates our dps in heroics and against ICC trash, but as wow.meters.online shows, we are one of the lowest dps classes against raid bosses.
My suggestion for a quick fix: "seal of divine storm: your divine storm now only affects one target, but for double damage" (or whatever damage coefficient works). Thus, ret paladins would have to choose between doing crazy AoE, like now, or being more competitive against bosses.

"OMG! I most certainly will NOT be getting Cata! They've ruined Pallies for good! How am I supposed to use _____________ with ___________ and expect _______________ to do one bit of good in (PvP / PvE)?! I was hoping, at the very least, for SOME sort of (Combat rez / Stance-like Aura tuning / Pony) but, WAY TO GO BLIZZ AND SCREW THAT UP, TOO!! (Feel free to add anything about Worgen/Goblins not possibly being lore-driven or any other knee-jerk crap like that for me, too.)

That's not bad, but I plan on just cutting and pasting complaints from the warrior comment section. They have it down to an art form.

-dreading this announcement, 5 years of pally play = giant buffs to the class with an unending series of nerfs that made what should have been a single fix a slow bleed. Everytime they announce class changes I look at it these days with dread!

My predictions:
Less 69, and mana gain normalization for prot, less faceroll for ret, and some holy spell that actually makes prot better.
