Queue for Celestial Steed and Lil' XT is above 140,000
The picture it says it all... If there was any doubt in the popularity of the new items, this is all you need. For virtual items to be going so fast and furious is unheard of. But here we have it. The most that WoW.com has seen is the number reach around 70,000. It could be more or less when you get in-line to buy one.
Edit at 4:45 p.m. EDT: It's now above 80,000, which is nearly 10 times OVER 9000.

Just noticed that they plan on giving away a CelestRial Steed! I wouldn't mind one of them :P

I would very much like a Celestial steed.

Poor lemmings, never notice the cliff...

P.S. Spouting strained metaphors regarding mindless conformity and how you're above it all won't actually win you cool points.
Honestly, now. Lemme know how the (understandable) desire for a free pony is going to somehow equate to us all sailing off a cliff and braining ourselves.

I got mine when it was at 13k, and the wait was only 20 minutes, not the

as of right now, i'm successfully queued on my iPhone's browser. no idea as to whether i'll be able to complete the checkout for it as yet, but it's worth a shot. should be a fair indicator as to whether or not iPhones will work at queuing for BlizzCon 2010 tix when they come on sale later this Spring/Summer.
Barinthos Apr 15th 2010 4:30PM
Makes me glad I made my decision to get one for my wife and myself when the queue was only 15 minutes.

Snagged the mount before there was even a queue. Logged on with my female blood elf pally, mounted up...only to be joined in the air by another blood elf pally on the same mount. This thing will be all over the place by later tonight.

Funny thing is, now the new mount will be all the rage, and those that don't get one will be unique. After your comment I think I'll wait to see how popular they are on server before I get one :D
Discount_Llama Apr 15th 2010 4:57PM
Who cares how many people have it, it is still a super sweet looking mount!
kooda Apr 15th 2010 6:13PM
Meh i find my nether ray to be the most uncommon mount i get a lot of whispers asking how i got it, this thing? its not even unique because its purchasable so people are spending money not to stand out?
Nazgûl Apr 16th 2010 5:03PM
You're pretty narrow-minded if you only like something based on whether or not the next guy has one.
fearthefireblade Apr 15th 2010 4:31PM
It's.... OVER 9000!
Andhar Apr 15th 2010 4:35PM
See, this is why they specifically used the word "above" in the title :D

So 140,000, is that for steed and pet combined, or just steed? Either way, Blizz just raked in a cool $2.5-$3.5 million in one day....
mcnadeau Apr 16th 2010 9:40AM
Yep, if you average that 140,000 queue as an even split (or really close to it) between the mount & the pet, just those 140,000 alone would give them roughly $2.45 million.
That's not including everyone that bought them before "the rush". Wow.
Zayd Apr 15th 2010 4:31PM
I'll start worrying when Blizz let people buy equipment/weapons.
