Breakfast Topic: Sorry, not happening!

To put it bluntly, I love this game. Since its inception I have logged countless hours of my free time playing World of Warcraft. Yes I've dabbled in other MMO's but I've always been drawn back to WoW mainly due to its freedom. Freedom in the sense that you are free to choose what you want to do for the most part. There's honestly a ton of content in this game. World of Warcraft is full of stuff. There is stuff everywhere. Stuff to see, stuff to do, stuff to kill, stuff to talk to and well, you get the point.
But when you have so many things to do, it's only natural to dislike, or even flat out despise, some of these activities. I think it's pretty safe to assume everybody reading this can think of one or two things that they really cannot stand in World of Warcraft. Whether it's questing, running battlegrounds, world PvP or whatever else, there's always something that will make a guild member say, "No way dude, [insert event here] sucks." Personally I flat out refuse to run Isle of Conquest. Period. I cannot stand that battleground and no amount of gold can get me to run it (okay that's not actually true, but it would have to be a lot of gold).
But how about all of you? What event, action, spec, class, play style, NPC, zone, area, mechanic, raid, dungeon, faction, race, spell, talent, boss do you downright refuse to take any part in?

Bloodsail Admiral rep - I *hate* how so many people doing that grind act. If someone's just killing the bruisers, fine - but most of them wipe out vendors, questgivers, auctioneers, and generally screw things up for anybody trying to quest through there. Recently my partner and I were there on our 30-odd alts, and saw a flagged toon doing that - we switched to our mains and repeatedly killed and camped him.

It's funny, because if they're on a PvE server and just stuck to the bruisers, they wouldn't be flagged.
The best way I found to do the achievement was to stick in one spot and let them keep spawning and coming to you, not wiping out the town.

is not what i refuse to do, i what i advise other not to do, to go around wintergrasp trying to get titanium ore when im on my holy paladin, 1 u wont go faster than me even with a %310 mount cause i use crusader aura, and 2 if you try i will fight you for it and win

@ the epeen palladick
Seeing im on a 310% mount with crusader on - and usually in my holy spec too - i guess you may just have some competition - and at least i am polite about it - if someones ahead of me and aiming at any node - i wont try to stress and race them, i just move onto the next node - unless ofc they have tried to grief me.

PVP. Bigtime.

This but also depending on the particulars....
Picking random fights in WG? Sure.
Sticking around the scheduled battle? Ehhh.... no. Nonononono.
What happen, Wintergrasp? You use to be cool and not an Alliance meatgrinder....

I hate alterac valley. The last thing i want to do in a BG is zerg a boss.
Jamie Apr 18th 2010 10:31AM
AV was one of my favourites but now it is a zerg fest, no team when I get it in random BG finder will stick to capping all towers and then kill in order it's always screw Galv, zerg Drek!!!
I also HATE SotA because I get it 80% of the time in random BG finder... wth... added on top of that the horde in my battlegroup know how to attack but the alliance know how to whine.
Same goes for WSG too!
I think Battlegrounds would be a lot better if the elitists just helped command the game with orders so the other meatsims out there would do them and also the meatsims actually listened... People are too quick to moan but don't want provide a unified plan in BGs...
WG on Nagrand-EU is great for Alliance though as we win 90% of the time.

I agree with this completely. I do have my exceptions.
I love Wintergrasp, and I do love coming across a wandering flagged lowbie alliance. (I'm on a PvE server, so they should know better.)
Battlegrounds have always seemed like an unnecessary torture I have to put myself through to get the things I want. Thank you Blizzard for removing marks of honor so I could finally get the rest of my pvp mounts.
Arena... oh I have a hating for it sooo bad. The whole breaking pve spells and stuff is awful. Its something I live with. And the actual play is not fun for me at all.
I guess this whole comment is basically getting to the point that....
I
HATE
FACTION
CHAMPS!!!

The first thing that comes to mind is dueling frost mages.

I love Isle of Conquest! It just feels so epic when I look up and see one of the airships circling overhead, bombing a keep.
I've mentioned this before in comments, but I really dislike the Forsaken. I've tried several characters, and none of them make it far. I avoid the Undercity, Forsaken quest hubs... the whole race is the main reason I like the Alliance more than the Horde.
As far as specific activities go, I pretty much like them all. PvP, raiding, questing, fishing... the only thing I haven't really done is Arena, but only because I find it difficult to find a partner who'll take someone new.

To each his own. With just one exception (a blood elf DK) all of my level 80s are all undead, and I plan on getting an undead survival hunter maxed as well. No idea why they work so well for me, could be the voices, could be cannibalize, could be the lore, or maybe it's a combination of all of these. But I currently have 4 undead max level characters, and I'm working on a 5th.

I completely agree with you, jealouspirate. While I try my best not to actively insult people who play Forsaken (it's all a matter of personal choice), personally I cannot stand them. I hate their indiscriminately malicious quests more than anything, and it dang near breaks my heart to admit that, despite my absolutely *colossal* love and respect for the Tauren, it's not enough to draw me back to a faction that actually stands behind the cruel Forsaken and their vindictive bitch of a queen.
Crowqueen Apr 18th 2010 10:18AM
I agree. I have a Forsaken priest and death-knight I do like the lore, but some of the quests I do with a heavy heart, particularly in Tirisfal and Hillsbrad. At least, as in the DK starting line, the people you are fighting against are not for the most part ordinary people, but the Scarlet Crusade, who are just as bad in their own way as Sylvanas and co, but the idea of playing what is essentially a ghoul is something I would never present to my parents (or anyone slightly sceptical as to the virtues of playing WoW) as what generally happens in the game.
Eternauta Apr 18th 2010 12:25PM
Totally agree with Jealouspirate.

If there are two things I hate in fantasy, it's the tendency to fall into (1) black & white, Manichean good vs. evil, and (2) namby-pamby, wishy-washy relativism of 'sure these two side are fighting, but they are actually both equally right and equally wrong! It's just a giant misunderstanding!'
That's why the Forsaken are so fantastic. Morally ambiguous? Sure. But they just want what everyone else wants: to recast Azeroth in their image.
It's just that their image is a touch bit more dead and decayed than what, for example, the Dwarves or Gnomes want.
guydebord Apr 18th 2010 3:36PM
To dpoyesac:
Massive respect for dropping Manichean in a WoW blog comments section.
