And remember to keep Beacon of Light up, usually on yourself, though i would be interested to know if other people favour placing beacon on a fellow team mate.

I usually put it on myself. It's useful if you throw a sacrifice on the targeted teammember, because that way HoS works like a 30% bubble because as you heal the 70% that the dude takes, you also heal the damage you take easily too. Of course if the enemies negate you 100% then you might want to consider putting it to one of the 2 others.

Beacon can be helpful but it can also be purged by Priests and Shamans. If they take it once from me I never put it up again that fight because they'll just keep removing it inbetween their freaking Mana Burns!

I usually Beacon and Sacred Shield myself (Holy Paladin), in 2v2, 3v3 and BGs (I don't do 5v5). My 3v3 team is a Rogue and a Hunter. HoF usually the Rogue when needed, and HoP usually the Hunter. Depending the team again we play I Holy Shield myself at the start and "tank" the income damage, to do this Holy Shield and the Beacon on myself it is a amazing survival skill.
