The Queue: Conclusions

Alright, alright. I'll tell you guys what I had for dinner the other day. I've danced around the subject enough. The vote was 50% for KFC and 50% for Taco Bell at the end of the polling day, so I flipped a coin and ended up going KFC. Since I had so many suggestions for it, I ended up going with the Double Down. I'll be honest, it was pretty good. Your heart would die a painful death if you ate them regularly, but as a one time thing? Yeah, it was delicious. Totally worth it.
Andostre asked:
"I read in the very last Blizzard Battle Plan that Deathwing is emerging from Deepholme. What is Deepholme? Do we know how Deathwing got there?"
Deepholme is the Elemental Plane of Earth. Or at the very least, it's a part of that plane. It's more or less Deathwing's domain. Deathwing got there by simply going. After his last failed attempt to do various generically evil things, he ran to Deepholme to tend to his wounds and plan his next attack. Cataclysm is going to be that attack. He's going to burst forth out of Deepholme, shattering the walls between Azeroth and the Elemental Planes.
Andrew R. asked:
"What happened to the Echoes of War soundtrack? The site has been down for weeks now, if not months. Amazon doesn't have the collectors edition or any variation of it in stock."
I've been avoiding this question until now because I have absolutely no idea what happened to it. None at all. I figured I would answer the question today with a link to iTunes and hope it was sufficient, but I don't think it's even on iTunes anymore.
Your guess is as good as mine.
R. asked:
"Will Blizzard ever institute a Bah Humbug achievement for those of us who despise and refuse to do any of the silly 'holiday' stuff?"
I have no answer to this question, but I am somehow amused that you want an achievement for your refusal to do achievements. I don't think that's how it works.
Alanid asked:
"Does the Lich King have amnesia? He has thousands of undead soldiers that could overwhelm the players just in Icecrown but for some reason he's just like, 'Nah guys it's cool, I'm just gonna chill up here for awhile. Wait, what's Tirion Fordring and 10 to 25 nameless heroes doing here?' "
If you're never going to do the Lich King encounter, go find a video of it. Specifically, find one that lets you hear all of the dialogue. I'll spare everyone else reading this the huge chunk of spoilers, but there's a reason the Lich King hasn't just murdered you all yet.

"Alex ... you're not crit immune!"
I had no idea what you were talking about here until I remembered that I linked my warrior's armory. Yeah, I know I'm not crit immune. I blame my trinkets. I've lost Loken's defense trinket to the DPS in the group a few times, I can't get any of the others to drop, and I don't feel like spending badges on trinkets quite yet. Badge trinkets won't get me any defense, anyway.
I've picked up my shoulder enchant and a new cloak since you saw my armory though, so my defense is a bit better. Still not capped for raids, but closer.

Somebody had some plastic surgery and a tail removed! I see that Tabard of the Hand you're wearing.
Thanks for answering. I'm going to hit up the forums and see if I can get a blue to find out what happened.

Now why on Azeroth would you race change from a Draenei to a human. Draenei have /waggle, humans have... um... /sigh?
Erzfiend Apr 19th 2010 3:49PM
/waggle is far superior to all.
ALL HAIL SPACE GOAT WIMMENZ.
BigBadGooz Apr 19th 2010 5:41PM

dc3boi02 Apr 20th 2010 8:27AM

Hmmmm so if he is hanging out in Deepholme do we (and by we I mean ye) think Therazane is on his side or opposing him? Therazane seems to be one of the few not especially evil elemental powerhouses.
Wowcoholic Apr 19th 2010 1:40PM
It wasn't stated clearly as of yet,(unless I missed something) but to quote wowhead:
"It is likely that she, along with many other earth elementals will join the war effort against the Destroyer. That, or will be driven mad by the pain, and turn against everyone and everything."
Suzaku Apr 19th 2010 8:19PM
The four Elemental Lords work for the Old Gods. Deathwing works for the Old Gods.
I would have to assume that that means that they'll both be on the same side.
Daedalus Apr 20th 2010 10:50AM
@Sazaku:
Yes and no. In the RPG source books, Therazane is described as being somewhat at odds with the other elemental lords; earth is constantly eroded by wind and water, fire scorches her surface, and lava churns and boils through her. She comes off as being more about the living and growing side of earth, and seems to be more nurturing and passive than the other elements.
Druids seem to have a somewhat favorable view of her, (especially if you hold to the belief that she's actually the earthmother the Tauren revere...)
Personally, I'm guessing she's going to be on our side. (Thus giving us a faction to ally with in Deepholme.)

When will the IC buff move up to 15%? How frequent have been the previous increases?
Starlin Apr 19th 2010 1:11PM
Also, is there a way to get the buff back after someone removes it?
Azurite Apr 19th 2010 1:17PM
It's usually increased the first tuesday of every month.
About getting the buff back, you can only do it if you are not saved to the instance. If someone removes it and you haven't killed Marrowgar yet, you can all go outside and reset the instance.
Kaorael Apr 19th 2010 3:08PM
You can get the ICC buff back by doing a soft reset of the instance at any time. Just get everyone outside for 30 mins and it should be there again.

Are there any female vendors that trade various items for sea shells somewhere sandy and watery? Just sounds like something Blizz would do...
Spritetoggle Apr 19th 2010 1:17PM
Just assume the murloc quartermaster on the northwest coast of the Borean Tundra is female.

The most vital cataclysm question ever asked:
Are they actually going to make fishing less boring?
Joe Sites Apr 19th 2010 1:16PM
Blizz said that they planned on making fishing less boring in Cataclysm.
of course they also said that we'd have custom dances via the Dance Studio system in Wrath.
galestrom Apr 19th 2010 1:22PM
Fishing is boring? =)
tatsumasa Apr 19th 2010 1:39PM
its fishing! what exactly do you want from it? lights and sirens and points as you're baiting the line? have you ever been fishing?
they have already made fishing much much better than it used to be. the fishing time is drastically reduced and you will never again see the message 'your fish got away.' how about being grateful for what we've already got instead of complaining that it's not more?
Atdt1991 Apr 19th 2010 1:44PM
Tatsumasa: And how fun do you find swinging a sword in real-life war? WoW isn't exactly a one-to-one duplicate of the real world.
They created something for us to do. I am certainly grateful that they made it feel less grindy, but I want more motivation to do it, more interesting lures or interesting things I can catch in between fish, or a better way to interact. I'm not asking for Heroic Raid Fishing - but when half of your audience wants to use a bot to fish, you haven't made it worth their attention. (Yes, I made that statistic up.)
