Around Azeroth: You can start submitting different screenshots now
Okay, I'm giving in to popular demand and posting a Celestial Steed picture, but only because Lillies of EU Chamber of Aspects wrote this story to go along with it: "Drawn to each other through the wonders of dispensable income, Lillies and her iridescent lover lazyily lingered upon the fruitlessness of life. Adrift upon the specks of infinity that somehow clung together to form some freakish horse with 'glass wings effect,' Lillies longed for more. Lillies pined to revel among the scars of the unbeknown. Her recently acquired beau's mind, aflame with less than dissimilar ideas, reared. Majestically bleeding into the night. Expanding into the great beyond; home."
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as emailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Okay, okay...let's first address the picture.
This is a very pretty screen capture. Great framing and wonderful lighting.
Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, I can add that whenever I see that horse, the only thing that comes to mind is the HIGHLY ANNOYING jingle from the "My Little Pony" commercials, and then I want to shove an icepick into my ear.

I agree, this is a very gorgeous screenshot of the Celestial Steed. Lillies captured a rather serene picture. She had excellent timing with the clouds, giving it a 'mystic' appearance.
At this point in time, I much rather have the "My Little Pony" jingle stuck in my head. Right now, I keep getting "Always" by Erasure every time spot one of these steeds. Which, I will admit is fun when I'm playing Robot Unicorn Attack...However, with the amount of sparkle ponies on my server, it's been a never-ending torture session going through Dalaran.
AND LIVE IN HARMONY, HARMONY, OH LOOOOOVEEEE~

Infact, I got so bored last night cause nothing was happening on my server that I was riding around Dalaran on my sparkle pony.... And then I felt the need to ram a unicorn, head on, into some stars.

I've got that song "Look at my horse, my horse is amazing!" stuck in my head when I see these things. And then I laugh.

the only annoying thing about the pic is the hoof sticking out from the wing
monkeyhouse Apr 20th 2010 10:08AM
i agree - very good screen cap but please NO MORE FAIRY PONIES!
i was in Dal last night and there was about 30 of these lame ponies and 2 awesome spectral tigers, plus all the spirit beast hunter pets - the LAG was a nightmare!

Aside from being possibly an award-winning candidate for the Bulwer-Lytton prize for atrocious writing, isn't this an unsubtle suggestion of zoophilia, indentured servitude (or prostitution), or all three?
Jade Apr 20th 2010 10:41AM
Twilight is just one girl's decision between Necrophilia and Bestiality.
it's all the rage right now.
thegatherer Apr 20th 2010 10:48AM
Jade, do you consider something dead if it has lost it's life? What about if it regained some semblance of life, similar to the undead.
If you don't classify undead (for example: zombies, ghouls, vampires) as dead, then it isn't necrophilia. If you do, then you may be wondering at the unlife that is the undead.
Jade Apr 20th 2010 10:54AM
Aren't you cute.
No your vampire fantasies are just sex with cold dead people.

@Jade
Jesus, I haven't heard GOOD trolling like that since the golden olden days of Skywall back in vanilla wow...
Hell, even 4chan is slipping to Grade A material like that.
I wish i could get you on vent and my server to troll people. Aerie Peak alliance NEEDS good trolls.

Oh, man, I thought I was the only one who enjoyed Bulwer-Lytton Publications. Since that fateful library book sale so many years ago, when I found "Son of It was a Dark and Stormy Night", Bulwer-Lytton has brought me joy.

@styopa
You're right. This guy/gal would win the main prize...
Meaning that I don't understand anything about that text with all it's difficult adjectives and stuff that I've never heard of.
Lohkie Apr 20th 2010 10:13AM
sparkly pony=annoying imo
but that doesn't take away from the quality of the shot.
i'd be willing to bet that this makes it on quite a few desktops as backgrounds
unfortunate
Killik Apr 20th 2010 10:57AM
FYI the sparkles are floating droplets of horse urine. Don't get them in your mouth.
Mordockk Apr 20th 2010 12:17PM
mmmmmm Sweet Lemonade. yeah Sweet Lemonade.
Cowboy Apr 20th 2010 10:20AM
This pic and write up says cheeseball... Here is hoping a young lady is the owner of the screen shot...
jealouspirate Apr 20th 2010 10:22AM
Yes, it does basically say that she paid a horse to be her lover. But she's also a cow... so maybe not zoophilia. It's just old-fashioned prostitution between one regular farm animal and another sparkly farm animal.
