So the orcs don't want to be eaten by demons, either. No surprise there. The surprise is that anyone interprets this action as anything other than them acting in their own self-interest. Being monsters doesn't mean they can't be counted on to act in their own self interest (quite the opposite, in fact), but they remain savages that would just as soon destroy you once you've dealt with the common threat.Of course, the same could be said of the humans.Everyone likes to say there are no good guys and bad guys in WoW, that it's not the case that one of the two major factions is the bad guy. Truth be told, both of the major factions are the bad guys. The good guys where yellow-text tags when you meet them (until you pump up your rep). There are more good guys in the Cenarion Circle or the Argent Crusade or the like than you will ever find in Stormwind or Orgrimmar (unless they're just stopping in for a visit).
