The Queue: Goblins and worgen

Whoa, Cataclysm questions that we might be able to answer? No way! I'm in shock. Truly. Look at the shock on my face. Do you see it? Yeah, pretty sweet, I know.
Babaloo asked:
"Will places like Gilneas be available to other races in Cataclysm, also, will they function as towns and stuff or for one time, one race staging zones? I'm really worried because it seems like they could've done a lot for those."
So far it sounds like Gilneas is going to be primarily used as a starting zone and then a battleground after that. Unless I'm horribly mistaken, they haven't said anything about us getting new capital cities at Gilneas and Kezan. You'll do the starter quests and then you'll move on. Hopefully this analogy isn't totally useless, but picture it as the draenei starting zone except Exodar is a battleground instead of a city with an auction house and that whole bit.
Andostre asked:
"Do we know what the goblin and worgen racial mounts are going to be?"
Goblins are getting some sort of hot rod roadster. Like a Formula 1 racer except smaller, crappier and a goblin made it so it's probably going to explode. Worgen? From the concept art we've seen, they ride some kind of bizarre abyssal pig or something. Personally, I think they should just ride horses since they were originally human. I suppose that would be pretty boring though, they need something original. So they get to ride some absurd thing the Cataclysm coughed up from the bowels of the planet.

"Mage? Or Warlock?"
Shadow priest.
KJP asked:
"What happened to the mobile version of WoW.com?"
It's still there. If you're not seeing it, that's most likely because you hit the link choosing to click through to the full site once upon a time. When you do that, it tells your phone to remember that you did so, and it will always take you to the full site so you don't need to click through every time. It assumes you prefer not seeing the mobile site. Yeah, it's pretty wonky, but the alternative is you need to make that choice every time you switch pages. So it's annoying for some one way, annoying for others the other way. If you clear your cookies on you mobile device it'll go back to the way it was.
No promises, but we may have an iPhone app coming sometime in the future so this isn't even a concern. Don't expect it tomorrow, don't expect it next week. Don't expect it next month. Don't weep if it never happens. It probably will though.
Eldoron asked:
"Are there seriously people who want to roll a goblin? I mean, of course I cannot understand gnomes either, but goblins, really?"
Uh, yeah? Of course I'm rolling a goblin. This world clearly needs a sultry female goblin technomage in it.
Yeah. That's right. I used the world sultry to describe a goblin. You have a problem with that?

Not to get off the topic of accents, but I did notice that Alex had a pretty strong idea of what the worgen mount is according to the concept sketch. It is from what I see, a riding battle boar with a skull on it's head. I for one wouldn't mind them having horses but since they did isolate themselves and the conditions within gilneas are seemingly cold and harsh a sturdier animal makes sense for the rocky/mossy terrain.
They might have been native to that specific area ,domesticated and thus make for their unique mount. It is a very rough sketch so i understand how that could be seen as more of a demon thing but I am looking forward to a boar, I actually always wondered why orcs never had this kind of mount since an orc on an armored boar would rock so hard :)

Orcs don't ride battle boars for the same reason Worgen won't ride wolf mounts, you cant mount your second cousin. Orcs are essentially smart piggies with better looking noses. So, Orks mount the Worgen family members and the Worgen will mount the Orcs family members.

I'm making a female goblin fury warrior. She'll be awesome. I have a cute name reserved for her too. :D

I have an amazing question!!
What happens if NOBODY in your Group has defeated anything on Paletress's list of memories? Does the game explode? Do they give you extra epic loot? Do we all point and laugh at the group that doesn't get a memory?
Snuzzle Apr 22nd 2010 3:24AM
She randomly selects from a chosen database, NOT a list of things the players have defeated. We got Cyanigosa once and none of us had ever fought her. It's just random.

The most annoying part of m.wow.com is when you click a link on there, it takes you (seemingly by default) to the full version of the page even if you have ti chosen to use the mobile version.
I type in m.wow.com
I get taken to the mobile version
I click a link
It takes me to www.wow.com
If I click copy link, and paste it into my phone's browser, and replace the "www" with "m" it works fine, but it's a crappy workaround. Am I the only one having this problem?

Idk if anyone else said this, but didnt Blizz release concept art of the Goblin capital (looked like an overgrown booty bay) and the Gilnean capital? (looked like a gothic SW)

I wonder what Gilnean speech will appear like to those who do not speak it. Will it be all like 'Bark ruf grrrr snarl bark bark'?

Question for the Queue:
I have one of those amazing jobs where I COULD play a bit of WoW at work. Note the "could." I have lots of downtime, which I usually spend browsing this site on my iPhone, or in my University's computer lab (where I work). Man I just wish I could log on every now and then for some AH grinding...Now for my question...
Would it be possible to put WoW on a large, portable hard drive, and play on another computer (say...one of the nicer comps in my lab?), without installing anything on the actual computer itself?
Oh. and Warlocks.

We know about the iPhone apps, and it looks like droid will be getting them as well, if not already. But what about all of us with Windows mobile phones? I would love to have the authenticator on my phone since I am prone to have things break off of my key chain and lose things.
Necrosaro Apr 22nd 2010 3:35PM
Whereas the Blizzard Authenticator can hold no more than one million possible combinations for a six digit number, and Whereas not just any six digit number will work in conjunction with a log on to a Battle.Net Account, and Whereas the actual number of combinations on a Blizzard Authenticator is considerably less than the one million maximum, and Whereas there are people that need to log on to a Battle.Net Account several times a day due to disconnection or account management, Therefore Let It Be Asked by me that: Can the numbers generated by the Blizzard Authenticator be reused, and if so how long before that number can be reused again, or if not, what happens when you've used the last number possible on a given Blizzard Authenticator?
