It came from the Blog: Gurubashi Beatdown II snapshots
Last Sunday, <It came from the Blog> had its second Gurubashi Beatdown. First we had a fishing party in Orgrimmar, attended by Anne Stickney and Matthew Rossi. Then we galloped off to Gurubashi Arena with the intention of playing games in which we kill each other. There was good and there was bad.
The bad
We only got a couple of games played because we had to spend most of our time (successfully) fending off griefers. One was even in a guild that had its intentions in its name.
The good
We had fun beating up the "bad" guys, but most of all, we got to know Thrahk. If we in the guild have our way, Thrahk will be warchief some day. For those of you unfortunate enough not to have met him yet: Thrahk is a level 1 orc, and he is brave and strong.
We will have a Gurubashi Beatdown again -- and don't worry, I have a plan to avoid future issues. Our event next month, however, will be Children's Week-related. And, of course, Choose My Adventure continues.
Here are the snapshots, which include some submissions from Butcheredcow, Orlak and (cutaia):
Please join us on US Zangarmarsh-H in <It came from the Blog>. Ask Robiness, Robinemia or any member online for an invite. Guild ranks of Lurker or above have the ability to invite. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules, that can be summed up with "Don't be a Funsucker!" Also, please see the guild FAQ for the most common questions.

This Thrahk intrigues me, is he a better candidate then Abasikcampfer?
Robin Torres Apr 22nd 2010 2:06PM
We took an informal poll in guild and Abasik came in second.
Triforceelf Apr 22nd 2010 2:08PM
Amazing, I will have to meet this noble Orc in person, Abasik was my top pick for warchief.

Thrahk wins by a huge margin.

Thrahk is biding his time to take the complaints the horde have of the Alliance directly to King Varian Wrynn. Thrahk's chin will be mightier in the following debate. Just sayin'

Thrahk for Warchief 2010!
Derrek Apr 22nd 2010 4:45PM
His wisdom is beyond his levels, his grammar pristine, his sharpshooting unmatched, and his outfit classy. Yet his humbleness shows in that he speaks in third person. All attributes to be admired in a mighty leader such as he.
All hail Warchief Thrahk!

"One was even in a guild that had its intentions in its name."
Out of curiosity, what was the guild name? (didn't spot anything in the screen shots)
kittytrainer Apr 22nd 2010 3:02PM
it was something like "it failed from the blog", or something like that
Robin Torres Apr 22nd 2010 3:05PM
I don't want to say it here only because I would prefer not having anyone harassed after having the guild found on the Armory.
Oni Stardust Apr 22nd 2010 3:16PM
OK, I understand.
Ahh!!!RealMonsters! Apr 22nd 2010 3:20PM
The guild name is "it crashed from the blog". It is a one person guild, I Realmonster am the only member.
The last Gurubashi Beatdown gave me the idea to form the guild, but had simply forgotten. I don't play on this server and rarely even log in on Realmonster, so flame me if you wish.
(cutaia) Apr 22nd 2010 3:27PM
The guild's sole member is a DK that was created on March 20th (date sound familiar?) and hadn't logged in again until the second beatdown. I doubt people could harrass him, since he'll only be logging on when it's time for him to grief.
I'll still respect your wishes by not repeating the name here, though. ;)

Oh...well there you go. Typing between bursts of actually working makes my reply a bit late. All my armory research for naught. This guy ruins everything. :(

I almost forgot (again) to make the guild.
I am easily distracted by cupcakes.

These star-ponies are spreading around Azeroth like the plague (but I like them D:)

This seems like the ideal model for the gurubashi beat down. hang the pre-planned games and go and have a battle royal with the anti-blog griefers. This site/blog is in a unique position to initiate a pretty fun tradition of world PVP on zangaramarsh. Instead of trying to prevent griefers, I say embrace them, get a little trash talk going to help him recruit. This could be a very fun tradition.
glyakk Apr 22nd 2010 3:41PM
I think you may be onto something sir. However it would be near impossible to regulate and may just become an exercise in futility. Still, If only...
Robin Torres Apr 22nd 2010 3:58PM
I love the idea, but fighting in the Arena means hurting your side and fighting outside Arena calls for flagging issues because Zangarmarsh is not a PvP server.
Still. I have a plan.

Thrahk for warchief!! WAHHHHHHGH!! (his warrior greeting)
