The Queue: In which Amy Pond is profiled

Yesterday I called Lady GaGa and told her that we had to break up, because Amy and I have fallen madly in love. Now my arch-rival and nemesis, Michael Saccovich, has claimed that Amy agreed to be his GF, but I don't think it's real. He's kind of bad wolf insane like that.
More Amy Pond after the break. Along with WoW stuff, which is why you're reading this article ... sure.
AltairAntares asked:
"When was the public beta of WOTLK released compared to when it was released to stores to be sold? Do you think Cataclysm will parallel that?"
Beta registration for Wrath opened up on July 3, 2008. Wrath was released 133 days (just over 4 months) later on Nov. 13, 2008. I would predict that the Cataclysm beta would take just as long, if not less, to complete. However there is no guarantee, and I don't have any inside info on this.I think the beta for Cataclysm will be shorter because Blizzard has really learned how to refine their development process. They've got it down to a science, and such laser-sharp precision on their part tends to lead to things being released on a shorter time frame.
Gamer am I asked:
"Why do people sell bags on the AH for more than their equivalent price to buy from a vendor? When I see six-slot bags on the AH for ten or sometimes 25 silver when I know I can buy those bags from a vendor for five silver, I just don't get it."
Someone will likely buy them. Who? Either people in a hurry and don't care that they're spending unnecessary gold, or people who don't know they can be picked up elsewhere for a fraction of the price. Is it unethical? Debatable. It's just taking advantage of two niches in the markets: those who don't care (or are too lazy), and those who are uninformed.
James asked:
"Are worgen going to have a British Accent?
IF NOT WHY NOT"
Amy Pond will be voicing the female worgen from the Tardis, although she likes to cosplay as a female belf.

Bahahaha Amy Pound, come on who else thought of that upon seeing her name

It depends. Are you referring to a unit of measurement, a type of money, a type of cake, a slamming motion or a crude sexual reference?
In any case...no. No, I didn't.
Kylenne Apr 22nd 2010 1:22PM
Shh, (cutaia). This is a fascinating opportunity to observe the Wild Douchebag in its natural habitat!
Don't make any sudden movements, I hear they're prone to flinging feces.

@(cutaia) I actually thought he was referring to a temporary home for wayward canines. The topic being worgen and all.
Cyanea Apr 22nd 2010 2:51PM
I'm gay.
And I'd still hit that.

Holy legs. I mean... yeah. Wow.

Gilneas looks dreary enough to be London so the accent idea seems reasonable
Erzfiend Apr 22nd 2010 1:26PM
Hope there is a Mrs. Lovette-type character selling pies.
Codexx Apr 22nd 2010 1:31PM
I've always envisioned places like Lorderon and Gilneas to be more akin to New England than London, but I can definitely see the resemblance. Wouldn't this make Lorderon the equivalent of Scotland, and Stormwind the equivalent of Wales?
It raises a plethora of interesting questions.
Kriegle Apr 22nd 2010 1:37PM
Belf's already have English accents, so it seems unlikely. Dwarves have Scottish, so that removes that. But there's plenty of other accents in Britain like... Welsh?
Darkleeroy Apr 22nd 2010 3:32PM
I think that Belfs have more of a subtle Bostonian English accent rather than an English accent.
Duco Apr 22nd 2010 4:57PM
I second the Welsh accent. Skip Amy Pond (lovely though she is) and get Gwen Cooper from Torchwood (also lovely) for the voiceovers.
Natsumi Apr 22nd 2010 6:21PM
Why not Irish? I find an Irish accent to be sexxeh in the extreme. :D
